Duplicate Post, but Other One Is Expired

Hi all,

Got a question, I went to post a bargain but the dup-la-bot picked it up as a duplicate which was expired (same url).

What would you do when this happens?

  • Well, I refer to here to read it twice and be absolutely sure.

    Read through this:

    Exceptions:

The original deal is older than one month, and was expired or sold out between then and now.
The original deal is active but older than 6 months.
The duplicate gains an excessive amount of positive votes (100+) and the original deal was posted and had become active more than 24 hours ago.
The item is not in the title of the original deal. Moderator discretion can apply if the post is seen as excessive.

And if I still have question (and I generally don't by this point) launch a friendly TWAM and ask.

Oh, older than 6 months… that reminds me to re-post the PPSR check for 5 free checks per year from Budget direct… isn’t that due to be spammed soon? Gotta whore ALL the upvotes…

      • Some must set reminders in their calendars. Literally the day it hits 6 months and the friendly reminder post is listed.

As long as you were creating this thread anyway, I would have posted the deal here so we could have actually discussed it.

  • What would you do when this happens?

    Appeal to the High Mods

  • If the deal meets the duplicate exceptions (mentioned above by Hamboi69), then select the 'Not Duplicate' checkbox which should appear after you input the URL:

Check this box to override OzBargain's duplicate deal detection.

    Thanks,
    Richard

  • Thanks guys. I've posted the item.
