    Thanks! 👍

      Did I miss anything?

  • +2

Thanks OP. Just when I thought I had enough Boost starter packs….

  • Cmon Cashrewards, please increase the bonus for the 12 month plans already!

    • I thought $40 cashback was pretty good, mind you the discount on the actual Sim isn't as good as it used to be.

Anyway the 365 day Sim is the way to go, works out much better than 28d and stuffing around.

Don't know why people hoarding these, how many phones do you have..

      • I'm not really interested in the monthly cash backs. My yearly plan is running out and I'd really like a nice deal on a 12 month SIM.

        • +1

Same, there's only specific cases why anyone would buy a monthly Sim.

There was a deal at the end of Dec, which I grabbed as mine coming to and end in a week so the timing worked out well.

They come around fairly often, hopefully one soon but you won't lose your number straight away after the expiry. May have to look at interim options in the meantime or just recharge perhaps

          • @G-rig: Yea it will have to be interim options until a new cashback deal on 12 months comes through.

  • +1

Can someone confirm if I can buy this now and activate it two weeks later on 7 February 2023? I’m looking to get this for an international visitor.

The “What’s Included” part is confusing: https://i.imgur.com/sJAj748.jpg

    • +1

Yes you can and still receive CR cashback, I'm actually going to do same since porting from a prepaid that expires 8 feb :)

Oh, reading your screenshot you may or may not get the 45gb data. I care more about extended expiry date (with the "normal" 20gb data recharge amount for a $30 plan) so think will stick with the 7 feb port in

    • In the same boat, looking to purchase for an internation visitor however I'm with boost already. Is there a way to still purchase this as a new customer?

      • I've been with boost for a few years but last time these bonuses were offered, I still was able to purchase and receive the data bonus on a second sim

How many times can you order for cash back?

    • +4

      How big is your letterbox?

      • +2

He probably had mountains of Kogan SIM cards delivered before (known from previous posts).

Has anyone quit their full time job yet and live off boost cashbacks?

    • -1

      Peter Adderton has

    • +3

Sure. But I can’t help feeling like ordering Boost Mobile SIMs has become my new full-time job

  • Just got declined from placing an order

    • +2

Can I ask how many other Sims are active, dormant, or awaiting activation on your account?

I'm assuming there's a limit per Boost user account before it hits non-personal use threshold. Asking Boost agents might risk their manual blocking of new services if not ongoing recharged.

I have 2 dormant/used, 1 active, and 1 to activate. Don't want to hit limits too soon and run out of data.

      • 5 is the limit for prepaid.

        • +2

Thanks @netsurfer. Will investigate how to disconnect depleted numbers

          • @TheLurker: Please let us know if you can, I think I'm sitting on 4

          • +1

@TheLurker: Don't you just don't recharge them, and after 6-12 months they become deactivated.

      • +1

I have 9 in my account. 5 active 4 expired.

    Thanks OP

      Username doesn't check out.

      • +3

Here’s some light hearted Aussie sarcasm for you mate

  • Aside from JB Perks, what are good uses for these spare numbers?

    • +3

If you have a dual sim phone it can be used for data. Handy for people on a 12 month plan that's getting low on data.

    • +4

Birthday deals. Boost juice has started to ask for a separate number per account.
Drug deals. Signing up to pornhub without missus knowing. One number for the missus, one for the girlfriend etc etc. The list goes on!

      • Do you know if you can use for Uber introductory offers

    • Can someone explain this to me? Do you need a new number and email address to take advantage of this?

      • +1

        No need.

      • Of what?

        • New number or new email.

        • Sorry, JB perks

    • +5

DoorDash "referrals". Have one main account that you collect all the credits. (30 credit for referrer, 2x 20-10 voucher for referee) Plus free delivery for "new" users. Use Apple Pay to hide your true card number (delete and re-add card on every new account), Apple Private Relay for email address and VPN. So far referred myself 10+ times lol.

      • Aaand that's how loopholes get closed…..

      • Lot of effort not to mention fraudulent, just work an extra hour instead of all that stuffing around for a dollar.

        • +1

Please hand in your OzBargain licence thank you

  • +1

Thanks! Just in time for my road trip (hopefully) and maybe even with trip

  • If I'm already with Boost, can I purchase this and keep my same number? Sorry if dumb question, couldn't see in the FAQ.

    • +2

I think if you try to get the credit applied to the existing number, you wont get cashback.
      PS. I didn't neg you.

    • +1

I think BG needs to add point 12 to the FAQ -

      Question Answer
      12. Can this be used to recharge? No, this is a starter pack.

      PS. I didn't neg you.

      • +1

I’m adding to it now, cheers WN :)

    • +1

      PS. I didn't neg you.

    • +1

I think the way to go is to chat with boost, and an then to activate this new simcard, and then put you old number to it (that's how they first it with me i think last year or 2 years ago for my 12 month plan I've been using since 2020

  • Speed caps on the way sadly .. goodbye boost

  • They'll have to change their name. Maybe to Depress or Buck.

  • Has anybody's order tracked yet? I ordered at 12:06pm, but haven't gotten anything yet. Usually it tracks within a couple of minutes.

    • Yep. Ordered 2 both tracked immediately.

    • Mine didn't so had to request it after 7 days

    • Mine also tracked almost immediately.

  • With these Boost SIMs, once the 28-day plan expires, does anyone know if we are able to still receive text messages and/or incoming calls?

    • +1

Yes you can (for up to 6 months after the expiry date iirc).

  • Is anyone else getting an error installing their app? I am unable to monitor my data usage and it appears that its disappearing quick which seems dodgy.

  • My last Boost Mobile SIM didn't arrive in the mail. 🙁

    • You can ask them for a tracker

    • Mine was returned to sender by Aus Post. Found out when I enquired. Correct address. Boost hasn't received yet so it is lost.
Boost mentioned Aus Post has been returning to sender with some customers. Correct addresses too.

      • This is honestly the main reason I don't buy these Boost deals. My postal address is slightly tricky and AusPost just can't seem to manage to deliver to it (all my regular mail/bills/statements are electronic). Couriers have no problems, go figure.

That combined with some ozbargainers reporting late dispatch times means I'm not confident of getting it in the time to activate it.

        • Po box, or work address be an option?

Was much better when you could just go to officeworks and price beat a store to get one when there were decent deals, not all this cashback crap.

          • @G-rig: Ditched my PO Box a couple of years back as Parcel Lockers work so well for me and are free. I don't get anything sent to work, ever. Bitches don't need to know bout my business. Plus again I'm not confident it getting to me in time. Just that small amount of unneeded hassle that makes it not worth my time for a couple of bucks.

            • @wavesgreen: Yes don't get delivered to work either.

So Aus post can't work out your parcel locker address? Sounds like a hassle either way.

              • @G-rig: Parcel Lockers are only for parcels, letters get Returned To Sender. I'm assuming the Boost sims are sent as Letters. Again can't be bothered with hassle of testing to see.

        • It seems to be a problem with the Boost order and Aus Post as I haven't had any issues receiving other mail from Aus Post. My address is straightforward. Boost also hasn't received back the Sim card.

Boost has refunded (at my request). Haven't decided if I will reorder.

          • @trixieb: It seems the issue only affects WA addresses?

            • @Neoika: Maybe not. Inherentchoice above who didn't receive is in Qld.

  • Do I have to activate the SIMs themselves before getting the cashback?

    • As per the Special Terms, "SIM must be activated within 30 days of ordering." That said, YMMV (mine has).

  • +1

Activated new SIM yesterday, few days to go before the 30d from ordering. Very easy process again on the chat, third one of these 365d Sims now. Service still showing 4g but could be the area im in, can't remember. Pretty sure 5g is included standard now.
