Karcher K 2 Plus High Pressure Washer $127.99 (Club Price) + Del ($0 C&C) @ Supercheap Auto

150

EDIT: Different SKUs so YMMV on the price match.

Good price for a Karcher. Requires a club membership, but signup is free, so Bunnings matched it. (receipt)

Pairs well with the Bowden's Own Mega Blow deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/752269).

Mod Note: 'Price Match $115.19 @ Bunnings' has been removed from the title, due to different SKU.

  • No the same model which Bunnings sell

    • That’s exactly how they get away from price matching…

  • You're just lucky that the staff member didn't properly check, as they're not the same model and should not have been matched

Huh, you're right. I checked closely myself and didn't notice. Both Karcher K2 with two wands, both 1750 psi, both $159 at full price. I still don't know what the difference is, apart from the Plus in the name.

Bunnings usually strong arm suppliers into making "unique" models for them, so they don't have to price match. Entirely possible they are identical.

        • While I'm sure that's probably occurred in the past, in this scenario at least they're not entirely identical as the Bunnings variant comes with a different spray wand which in fairness, does cost more than the one provided in the SCA listing.

Main difference is that the wands you get are different. If you look closely, the Bunnings variant comes with the click vario spray lance, while the SCA variant doesn't.

      • Can you upload your receipt please?

    • Curious to know the major difference?

  • How does that compare to Bosch ones?

  • Blech. The specs on the SCA site aren't very good but also aren't even correct. Manual says:

Working pressure is 8 MPa, which is 1160psi. Working flow rate 5.5L/min. Don't waste your money on this, you can get the same performance with the $40 SCA brand ones.

Protip: ignore the "max" values, they have no real world meaning. Go by the "working" values.

Recommendations for a buy it once buy it for life pressure washers? (If such a thing exists)

My budget was around $200 and the two I found that were the best in that price range were the BAR KRS1300E and the SP Tools SP140.

Bunnings Rothwell (QLD) didn't accept the member price but brendale did the price match after logging into SCA and showing them the item in the cart.
