TGG is replacing my faulty Linsar 75'' bought for RRP 1k (~900 after giftcards). It got a green line and apparently cannot be repaired
They have suggested replacing with the Heinsen U7G display unit in the store for no additional cost. After some research looks like AUS model does not support HDMI with higher than 60Hz refresh rate and no eArc/HDMI 2.
It does not seem like a great deal right? Better than current Linsar perhaps but seems market has improved in 1.5yrs since I bought.
Was wondering if people could suggest a solid 75inch TV in $1-1.6K category. I don't mind paying bit extra if the quality of the TV justifies it. I also hope I can get TGG to knock down a hundred maybe and pay the rest with a few discounted gift cards in hand.
Some Key Features I am looking for:
1. HDMI 2 or 2.1 - heard its good for gaming which I do occasionally via PS5 (mostly FIFA)
2. > 60Hz refresh rate - for above
3. Ideally better black colours but not for OLED price - Things like Mandalorian are hard to watch in night scenes on current tv
4. >=75 Inch - I think I am used to this having had my old tv for over 1.5 yr
5. eArc to connect to the sound system
6. 3YR Warranty - I know we all have ACL but I feel like having a warranty makes life easier as seen by my Linsar return which had 3Y
Have google tv and a sound bar so smart features and great sound are not priority.
Mostly use TV at night or on weekends (with blinds drawn)
I am not across TVs that much so would be great to get some advice!
The list I came up with is:
1. TCL 75" C727 4K QLED Android TV (1.5k)
2. TCL 75" QLED Google TV 2022 (1.6k)
3. Hisense 75 ULED U7HAU Series 4K Smart TV 2022 (1.6k) - hate the diff hardware for AU/US
4. TCL 75" QUHD 4K Google TV (~1k)
Feel free to add any model I may have missed in comments.
If you hate proper OLED than EKO from bigW has perhaps most screenestate for outlay.
But 75" LG darlings getting closer to that price mark every day!
