    • Wtf?

      • -2

        That’s want I thought too.

Hopefully money will be fully refunded

        • Unless the money is being used to fund these Westpac Lounge deals, in which case you win some and you lose some, I say

          • @tharlow: Can someone please explain

            • +7

@Korban Dallas: Pauline Hanson might be able to. Basically, a couple in Melbourne — Westpac customers — fell victim to a scam, and Westpac have only offered them 3k of the 98k they lost in compensation. It’s the customers’ fault, though, and is it really a bank’s job to insure you against stupidity? They only make a few billion in profit each year, but that’s not a reason in itself to be unnecessarily generous — especially when you consider that it could result in a reduced dividend for our great Aussie battlers holding Westpac shares in their portfolio

1000 rewards so don't take too long.

Will stack with [Westpac] $5 Bonus Cashback with $50 Spend on Gift Cards @ ShopBack via App (Activation Required) if you haven't claimed it yet.

    Tracked ta

    • +3

      Thanks TA!

      • +2

        What's with the double thanks?

        • One thank-you is never enough

      • +1

        Not a TA deal

        • +1

Thanks for the heads-up! Or arse up?

  • +1

    Thanks op

  • Any hit to my credit score of i her a debit card with westpac?

    • +5

Only if your application isn’t grammatically correct. And you don’t apply for an overdraft facility

    • I want you to think about that sentence real carefully. Credit score … debit card.

      • +1

I know hehe, but to get a debit card, as i understand, you open an account. So was thinking maybe opening too many accounts might affect your score. I'm just being paranoid because i previously opened a zip account for only 6 months to use some discounts, and that affected my credit score.

        • Because Zip is a line of credit

  • Hoping now that Westpac owns a large slice of ShopBack they will soon include StGeorge in these deals,

    • +1

Not difficult to open a Westpac account.

    Cheers tracked in minutes

  • 17.5% cash back on eBay is awesome !

    • Can you do part payment with GC at eBay? In other words if you have $100 eBay GC can you nominate to use only $10 on a $25 purchase and pay the balance using other methods?

      • Only if your item is over $100 , if it covers the whole amount it won’t let you

        • Thanks for clarifying. Looking back I probably should have bought multiple of eBay GC adding up to $100, rather than buying a $100 GC. That way when there is another Westpac bonus cashback when paying with Westpac card, I can take advantage of it as well. Oh well.

          • +1

@delfredo: Can’t do that, has to be one transaction of $100

Receive $15 bonus Cashback from ShopBack when you spend $100 or more in one single transaction

  • Can I use available SB cashback as part payment for GC or not to qualify?

    • +1

No. They rejected a couple of my awards because of this. Never clearly stated.

      • It is, but I have missed this previously.

"ShopBack reserves the right to amend or withdraw…" I understand and I will not participate .

  • I just purchased a $100 EBay evoucher and it tracked OK with Shopback - so far so good. I tried to add it into my Ebay account (as I can with an Amazon GC) but can't work out how to do it. Is it possible to do this please? If I could add it then forget that would be great. Thanks clever Ozbargainers.

    • +1

No, once you use part of it, it will stay on your account

      • so spend $2 and then the rest later on - thats great, thank you Jessie

  • +3

    Everything for Westpac ah?

  • +2

Very good deal. It wasn't too long ago when I had $3000 more cashback on CR than SB but now SB has taken over with deals like this.

Well done on a good offer

    • Same, my SB lifetime rewards has now overtaken CR.

  • +1

Shopback is becoming more like Westpac Loyalty Program, no cashback deals on other banks/cards :(

    • +1

Westpac has a $40m+ stake in the company now so ofcourse. It better to integrate than develop themselves. Like ANZ who invested and then acquired Cash Rewards.

      • Good thing I emailed Cheddar

Looks like I'll be moving onto other services than look after all their customers

  • 17 rewards left.

  • +2

    "No rewards left"

  • +2

procastinated and missed it thinking there would be a lot of spots like the other deals. could you include the number of spots next time in the title @BargainsGrabber ?

    • Hey mate, I couldn’t fit it in the title as I’m limited by the number of words OzBargain allows in a title

I’ll put it in the description next time :)

  • +1

Damn too late! need to focus on ozb rather than work!

  • +3

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • +2

Ungh. Too late, but in reality 1,000 was never going to be enough.

  • Tempted but I got too many gift cards already 😂
