    Thanks for the reminder.
    I almost forgot.

at least you did not forget to check ozbargain

      • +7

How can jv not comment on ozbargain? Some members would go insane having no one to neg!

  • +9

Wouldn't ever pay the full price again, but for $6 it's quite good

    • Have you tried the Aldi version?

      • +6

Nah… though it's probably on par as is the case with most Aldi versions of food these days

The 4 pack Aldi Choc-mint drumstick ice creams are 👌

        • +1

The Aldi golden Gaytime copies are terrible though

  • +1

Also up and go, 6 packs are half price at iga. Pretty good since school is back soon, my teen loves them even though there are much healthier options around.

Tell me a store in VIC that stocks more than one flavour ?

  • +4

Great days are actually overpriced right now, so I’m waiting until they reach an all-time low to pull the trigger

  • Doesn't seem to be available in WA, showing full price.

    • You sure? it's in the specials catalogue and should be.

When did ice cream hit $12 a tub full price.. No wonder it's on sale…

    • +2

Was waiting for this comment. Guaranteed without fail someone always makes this exact same comment anytime connoisseur ice cream is on sale.

      • But it's true. $12 a ltr for milk, sugars and the rest of the fillers.

        • +1

You’re not just paying for the ingredients. Most of the cost of the product is the salary of the people making it, the rent, the electricity, interest rates on any financing of equipment etc etc

Wait until you see Ben & Jerry's

  • which ones are the popular flavors?

      Pineapple jizz

Cafe Grande is king. The Chocolate Brownie one is amazing too. They're all good but those are untouchable.

      Vanilla is excellent if unexciting.

      • Love the Chocolate Brownie

      • Cafe Grande my first choice, CARAMEL HONEY MACADAMIA 2nd choice. Used to like the Murray river Salted caramel macadamia.

Agree with you on this @Wolfenstein98k

Like said, Cafe Grande and Chocolate Brownie are both great. But don't sleep on the Merlot Blackberry & Cookie, Camarosa Strawberry or the Butterscotch Gingerbread flavours. They're great too.

      • +1

Merlot blackberry and cookie is very satisfying.

    • I stock the freezers and would say vanilla is far and away the most popular as it sells out on a daily basis when half price (even with twice as many as any other flavour on display). After that it's probably the café grande flavour. Butterscotch gingerbread is a pretty new flavour on the block but it seems like people come back for more so it must be pretty good

      • For vanilla ice cream I would go for the NZ Kapiti Vanilla Bean ice cream. You can find them at Aldi for $7.99. I call it the chewy ice cream.

    • Vanilla, Cookies and Cream and Chocolate Brownie are great.

  • Damn. shouldve bought the IGA discounted giftcards. And there I was was thinking it's highly unlikely I'll need to go to IGA for anything…

  • +1

Why doesn't any ice cream company make the pistachio flavour :(

    • There are companies that make it in gelato

HODL for Häagen-Dazs deals. 10x better quality.

  • This would exclude Tasmania?

    • Probably, because I did not see it in any of the IGA TAS catalogues.

The only relationship between the Tasmanian Independent Retailers (TIR) collective and Metcash is an agreement that allows the TIR collective to use the IGA brand on TIR’s stores. Metcash is not the distributor for IGA TAS stores, as Metcash does not operate any IGA distribution centres in TAS, so TIR - which jointly operates its own distribution centres (Statewide Independent Wholesalers) in partnership with Woolworths - would have no obligation to offer this deal through IGA TAS stores.
