Really cheap price on these 8.5" LCD drawing/writing tablets that have been popular previously on OzBargain. Like my Zapals deal 5 years ago. These are great for the kids, writing notes, leaving notes/drawings around for the house for your SO and more.

There's a button to wipe the screen, a switch prevent accidental wiping of the screen and the colour changes as you draw which you can see in this pic from the reviews. If you want to order multiple, please make separate orders as adding multiple to the cart will add a shipping charge.

AU$ based on current Mastercard rate, GST inclusive and stacks with cashback.

I wish these would allow you to save the screen to your phone

      Take a picture ;)

    • There were some Bluetooth models around, but where far more expensive and the transfer was super slow

    Link doesn’t work. Sold out?

      • VPN? Privacy blocker of some kind? Also make sure AliExpress is set to Australia.

  • Does it include the stylus/pen?

    • Yes

Anyone wanting one today can pay for the priviledge, fyi. Officeworks stocks a range if sizes. Fantastic to have as a kitchen shopping list ok the fridge.

    • Great to give to younger kids to draw on

  • How safe is the button battery? Could it be removed and swallowed if a child is using this device? Or is the battery compartment secured with a screw or similar?

    • +1

Previous ones have always been secured with a screw. Not hard to secure it yourself if it wasn't.

      • Thanks, that's great to know. I feel safer buying this now

Thanks OP, just bought a blue and a black one.
Interesting with the shipping, when you choose more than 1 of the same item it gives a specific delivery date (Feb 16 for me) instead of 30-50 days but also charges $5+ for shipping.
Make sure you buy them 1 at a time!

Make sure you check that the 8.5-inch one is specified/chosen. For me, it 'chose' the 6.5-inch one by default, so I accidentally bought that one.

Just ordered one for 73cents free delivery as a welcome deal. Looks like it's on special for new user accounts. Thanks OP.

    • Pretty much the same thing.

      • Probably an option if an early delivery is required with the ebay code.

        • You should share it as a deal. $6.14 or $5.99 with eBay Plus

@Clear: thanks mate, will pass this one. Hopefully will move from observer to poster one day and post my first deal :)

  • If anyone else is like me and would prefer a larger but monochrome pad then there are some cheapies here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004306274164.html

  • these are not designed for any serious work btw. i made this mistake a while back, as a teacher. but they're good for kids to draw, as well as for really rough work I guess.

hella cheap and they have the 'cool factor' though! so yea, good for kids.

    • Why no good for serious work?

      • +1

I s'pose it depends on what you mean by "serious work", but these really are meant as disposable toys for kids tbh. You get what you pay for - at $6, you can't really expect much. I bought an upgraded $30 which supposedly recorded strokes as vector files, which could be transferred to computer later, but that was also not very good.

To answer your question, in my experience, there are 2 factors which stop me from using it for serious work: the pen draws fairly thick + you can't rub out if you make a mistake (gotta wipe the whole screen),

        • Thanks

        • Do you remember the name/site for the upgraded one?

          • @axcairns: i got off ebay. boogie board sync. and just searched gmail, and i got it for $150, not $30… and it's completely and utterly rubbish. The vector files it saves don't in any way look like what I originally drew. I wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy.

I'm -really- getting nervous here… your interest in a product which I've made very clear is not very good is making me nervous. mate, please, for the love of everything you hold holy, don't waste $100+. Invest in a drawing tablet instead. Huon makes some cheap ones.

  • Now $6.35? (inc tax)

    • Exchange rate is now 6.18. if you've set your currency to AUD on AliExpress or letting PayPal do a conversion it's inflated.

      • Ah, gotchya. Oh well, damage done.

  • I got one through Ali and for some reason it didn’t pick up my delivery address properly (just had the house #, no street).

I could only contact seller to change it … and contacting the seller was harder than solving world peace (yes I followed all the instructions but results ranged from “cannot find page” to “not having the contact us tab as per instructions”

It was my first time using Ali … which has kinda left me with a bitter experience.

At least when I cancelled it the funds came back instantly to PayPal.

  • Just an update for people waiting for delivery time. I ordered on 18 January and today tracking is showing it in Melbourne hub. Not bad !
