Not OP, but you’ve summarised it well to my understanding too, though I think the 800 doesn’t have person/vehicle detection?
They all have slightly different viewing angles too.
I’ve got the 820A set and they’re great. Pretty sure I got the set around the $700 mark from Amazon.
The same NVR is in each package.
The Reolink site has a decent comparison matrix - just select the ‘POE IP camera’ tab
https://m.reolink.com/au/comparison/
Did you get them installed through a third party or by yourself?
I don’t have any existing setup so trying to find some professional who can do this for me. I am also planning to get Reolink (still need to decide on the exact model).
My electrician told me he can install these things told me to look at this brand or the Google Brand
@honkyb: @honkyb Google is fine, but know that Google has a subscription service to pay.
Reolink costs nothing after the initial purchase. No subs ever.
@rahuahuj I installed them myself. This is a great all in one package & allows expansion up to 8 cameras (they don’t have to be the same model).
You’ve gotta be comfortable with being in a ceiling and cabling if you wanna do it yourself through.
I’m sure any leccy can fit these for you, just make sure they use decent cabling & separation between data and power cables.
As below, the 800 is obsolete, the 820 and 822 are current, so go the 822 if you can stretch the extra (for the zoom) from the ~$700 the 820 package has gone for previously.
The 800 is old models which the 820 replaced. 800 is obsolete. The 822 is the same as 820 with optical zoom. I have the 822 and it's great though I'm not sure how useful the optical zoom is short of setting it to FOV you want and forgetting it exists. It's useful in that perhaps the 1x zoom is too wide so you can tune that, but once it's set I don't think you'll ever actually use it. That said, I would opt for the 822 over the 820 just for the flexibility of setting the FOV as needed.
Waiting for amazon wireless cam with solar panel to go on sales

Are the night vision infrared LEDs visible? Looking for something that could be used indoors at night without bright red lights.
Yes, they give off a red glow. You can turn them off, but will affect night vision performance.
Cheers for the info!
can i attach their wifi cams with this nvr?
Yep there is no problem doing that, you just point your NVR to the IP of the wifi cam, it will use one of the 'channels' available on the nvr.
How do you guys rate the Dahua systems compared to Reolink?
such as
https://www.securitywholesalers.com.au/product/dahua-6-x-6mp…
Can anybody please enlighten me whether this is the OZB-approved security camera (PoE) brand?
Was looking at Eufy. But their security is only comparable to Medibank it seems.
I have both Reolink (NVR) and eufy (flood Light) at home.
I am in process of moving house and looking for a replacement to mine current set up.
I cannot recommend eufy at the moment, it was great and the software is better then reolink.
After the most recent APP update it totally brick my floodlight. I guess eufy had patch their software due to the privacy corncern.
I have a few order device running on a older app, it still work fine… but not my phone.
In term of reolink, their camera is great in the morning but ok at night.
Software is useable but not very friendl. Good enough for the purpose.
Both can be a non-subscription for storage.
But for my upcoming setup i am more prefer reolink with a NVR for camera and their floodlight.
Hi OP, can you please elaborate the difference between this and
The only difference seems to be the 3x optical zoom on the camera itself, NVR are the same.
The only difference between RLK8-820D4-A and RLK8-800D4-A I can see is the 20fps vs 25fps.
