Website to Check Live Bunnings Stock across Multiple Stores for a Product

I had a go at testing my coding skills from lockdown to build a website that allows you to search Bunnings for a product and which stores have it in stock on a state level.

Any feedback would be good, and feel free to use it.

I plan to also build a price watcher so I can see when my wishlist items go on special. Let me know if any other suggestions on how it could be useful!

yeah nah, has a captcha i can't be bothered filling out

    • Good point - ill try a more friendly way to scare of bots

      • Pictures of static electricity?

Seems like it'll be useful during those clearance items bunnings sometimes has. Wondering how do you get the data, as on my test the Albany story (in WA) is showing -4 ahah

  • Needs some work, if I change the state, it won't work without a page refresh and another captcha.

Isn’t this site the same thing?

    • Can't click above link, but Bunnings app check your nearest store and option to have a list of other stores.

      • Which is very handy, but a lot of us are willing to drive an hour or more to get a real bargain and the app makes it a pain to check that widely for said items.

would a capability to put your nearest store and then ordered by distance of all other nearby stores that are in stock be useful?

          • @bigt: That would be icing on the cake for sure.

      • Ok. I must say it's handy to see a list of things with quantity in each store.

Not sure on how the list is sorted by quantity only - the very firs thing I did is to find the store near me, and as was using the find function. Should be nice if the sorting list can be changed and it's 'saved' thus no need to do this again and again.

    • I use the NRBY and also this one to check stock https://bunnings.youinstock.com.au/

      • Both of which are handy, but there is more that the OZB community want, like a map that shows the stores with store stock (I am working on this for Bunnings + OW).

  • +1

yes and then when you get to the store there is no stock.

  • Remove the state. People in a border town or ACT would find it annoying.

    • or just search both states?

      • Then it should be multi select, not a single select dropdown

  • Is the nrby site thing broken? I can't search for items

    • It hasn’t been working for me for most of today

  • You have a lot of other issues on the site. Some NSW stores appear in the QLD list. Plus some stores that are "closed" or "relocated" are in the list. Needs data to be validated and accurate.

Not sure where you got the store list, but it is poor data in my view.

  • Merged from Updated Real-Time Bunnings Stock Checker for Stores near You

    Hey all

I wanted to give back to the Ozbargain community, so Ive built a Bunnings stock checker that displays realtime inventory.

Simply select your nearest store, how far you are willing to travel and enter the item number - and it will give you the stock counts for all the stores close to you.

    Some features:

Introduced a preferred store option which will persist locally in the browser - don't need to enter it everytime
Ability to select the distance/ radius from that preferred store that you want to search in
Sorted the output table results by distance from preferred store

Let me know of thoughts any other suggestions to improve or anything else broken.

    • Results are not vertical mobile friendly.

Distance slide scale has to be tapped. Can't be dragged.

      Firefox on Android 13

      • Perfect feedback - will look into a solution for that!

  • Hey, cool site.

Can you please add the NSW Narrabri store?

    Cheers!

    • Thanks for letting me know. Found out it was a smaller store instead of warehouse, and I was only showing warehouses. I'll include it in the next update

      • Hi just wanted to let you know I used this today and it worked fantastically
        Thank you

  • Nice site. Are you using API or a screen scraping method to source the data? Thanks

  • It's missing VIC - Brunswick store

  • Ever thought about selling the code to the App?

Could you make one for Kmart instead? @bigt

  • For anyone still using it, I have finally got around to getting the integration working again.
