On sale is Alldocube's latest tablet which is an improvement over both the iPlay 50 and iPlay 50S tablets. The main big improvement is that they've replaced the budget UNISOC T618 CPU with the MediaTek Helio G99 CPU that was released in 2022 and offers much better performance. Making it a lot better for gaming and overall snappyness Plus it scores about 40% higher in AnTuTu benchmarks.

Featuring Android 12 with Google Play, 10.4" 2000x1200 IPS display, 8GB RAM, 128GB UFS 2.1 storage (microSD support up to 2TB), MediaTek MT6789 Helio G99 Octa-core CPU, 6000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, USB-C, 4G LTE with B28 & Dual SIM, 5MP front camera, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, dual speakers and GPS

A downside of this tablet is that it doesn't have Widevine L1 so there will be no Netflix or Prime HD.

"doesn't have Widevine L1 so there will be no Netflix or Prime HD."

    Will Syncler/Stremio/Weyd work on this?

I checked Dr Google with those names and Widevine L1. Doesn't seem they need it.

  • Good replacement for an aging Xiaomi pad 4?

  • How does an Android tablet feels like after using it half an year or so? Is it as fast as new or does is start to lag? This one seem to be pretty interesting, specs wise.

    • my experience (with android mobile phone, not tablet) is :

if you use a good flavor of Android (which usually exclude Samsung in my own opinion which could be wrong), and
keeping a relatively good using habbit (as in don't use software that stays on background doing random things and delete those when you spot it)

it would stay fluent for a very decent amount of time. My OnePlus 5T from end of 2017 (Snapdragon 835) was still going strong till today for all the daily task and even casual gaming. I only replaced the phone because I wanted 120hz and heavier games.

      • Never been of fan of Samsung phones myself. I remember replacing a Note 3 with a Sony Xperia and I couldn’t believe they had similar specs and the Note was laggy but also had replicated things like multiple gallery apps, multiple store apps: Galaxy App Store, Samsung App Store, Google Play store. I also had another one, Galaxy Alpha, that also had nice specs but it was frustrating in use.

I did purchase one from the last post. You definitely can watch Netflix but it will be Widevine L3 Picture quality and price wise it's hard to complain. :)
