fbi aint gonna let this on the plane i think

  • Anyone had any experience with this? Been looking for one to take away on a holiday on the plane.

    • Mate.. I've had my bases charger for 3 years.. super fast charging pretty much identical to this. I know am a total fan out for their products. Hasn't missed a beat I charge my laptop with it . And my sowtch on long plane rides.

    • I've had this one for about 3 months and it works perfectly every time I need to use it.

Fast charges my S20 FE 5G.

  • Is the 22.5W version worth getting over this for $5.60 more? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/313876486910?var=612602680293

    • I'm also keen on this question. Any benefits for using for just phone charging?

      • +1

It's 5 bucks, I went with that one.

        • True. Do we know if you can charge two devices at the same time?

          • @Nazyb: You can but slower because it splits the power, there are better powerbanks out there this one is just cheap

    • +1

This may be showing my ignorance of how power banks work but when it says at the top of the post…

      "Baseus 20000mAh / 20W for ~$30.
      Rated Capacity: 12000mAh"

… why does it say 20000mAh rated capacity 12000mAh. Why the 8000 mAh difference?

Edit: just found the answer here.

I thought I would leave this post here rather than delete it for the benefit of others who have wondered the same thing.

      • Thanks. Good article, except it could have all been explained in a colour of sentences, or just summed up in one:

True battery capacity for USB charging (5V) is 2/3 of the advertised capacity.

  • Seen a lot of these powerbank deals lately but unsure which one would be the best to bring with me on my trip, doing 6 weeks around Europe with a lot of plane rides.

    • The largest that you're willing to carry around with you at all times. No point buying a large power bank if it's going to stay in your hotel room etc. Make sure that whatever powerbank you purchase supports some form of quick charging - no point buying a power bank if it's going to be attached to your phone for hours while charging.

      • How can U tell if it's a fast charger?

        • It's all relative, but I consider anything above 20watts to be fast charging, albeit your phone/device also has to be able to accept that same wattage. Look at the output modes, then multiply the volts and amps to get the watts i.e. 20v ~ 1.5amps = 30 watts.

I am not an electrician so if I'm wrong, someone correct me.

  • OP, does this support fast charging for s21 ultra and iphone 13max?

    • It does fast charging on my partner's S21.

  • Does anyone know if these have an auto power off feature? I'm looking to buy this for the lights in my tent but need it to stay on.

    • +1

I've only used mine for phones, but it has never shut off on its own even if phone is 100%.

  • Can this charge a M1 Mac Book Air 2020 ?

    • +1

Yes, using the right cable it will charge at 20W.

    • +1

Type-C to C cable would work but I'd get a ZMI powerbank for that they go 65 to 210W which should future proof you and would be able to charge also other usbc charging laptops (the Baseus can only charge M1 because they have such a low power need)

  • Is this any better/worse than the 20000mAh Romoss offerings?
