Native Vs Supported Resolution in Cheapie Projectors

Howdy

I see items like https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1570553446796434 all the time, can someone explain what is native vs support resolution? Say I project a 1080p video, poor brightness/contrast aside, what resolution am I actually seeing?

I’m guessing it accepts a 1080p signal but then downscales the image to fit into the native 320x240 resolution
