Saw this cheap beer deal walking around the neighbourhood in West Melbourne. A case of OB Premier Pilsner for $20 until sold out.
It's a popular(?) Korean beer.
Short expiry date so drink it quick!
Also available 6 pack for $5.

Less than 60c a standard drink bargain
short expiry; does beer really go "off" ?
It definitely changes flavour, and carbonation drops if it's very old, but honestly at this price can't go wrong imo.
No, not in any meaningful way if stored in cool, non-sunny conditions.
I might hesitate about a 5yr past date lager, but it can’t hurt you.
Very hoppy craft beer loses hops flavour over time, and is best fresh, but fine later.
Dark beers typically develop some extra complexity, and some are sold with a vintage year like wines.
Beer can suffer if ‘light struck’, especially a clear glass bottle, and I wouldn’t buy a beer out of a shop window display, but otherwise, enjoy the savings.
I know a bloke in his 50s who has a carton of Tooheys 2.2 lite from his 21st. A can that was opened had some flaky solids - I think from the can corroding.
Not drinkable now, but then, it is 2.2, so not really drinkable then either!
I remember my Dad, unlike his many bowling club mates, would not drink Tooheys even if you paid him! His favourite beer was Reschs Dinner Ale :-)
It has now made a comeback: https://www.brewsnews.com.au/2022/04/13/cub-brings-back-resc…
Another favourite of Dad's was Tooths Sheaf Stout.
Yes and this is the real problem if you are after a fresh hoppy IPA. If not stored properly they go bad in a week or two. I try to avoid buying if the beer is not stored in a fridge unless it's a BA stout or some wild ale.
This is some nonsense put about by hipster craft brewers.
A week out of the fridge will do absolutely nothing to even the most yuppie craft IPA.
A lot of craft beer is bottled with live yeast, so after months you might see a change in sediment and carbonation. Still very drinkable.
Happy to take any IPAs you accidentally left for 14 days unrefrigerated off your hands!
Agree, very drinkable but the flavour will definitely change over time - not necessarily for the worst, but just change.
@blighst: Oh, true. I won’t be buying an IPA at Best before without a discount. But also, this kind of mass produced euro lager in the post will be fine.
Or to put it another way, have you never had an enjoyable IPA from NZ, USA or UK? All would have spent many weeks minimum unrefrigerated.
I did, a lot of hit and miss, but it really depends on the distributor, some are doing a proper cold shopping, most of the beers arrive very fresh these days. I usually pre-order as soon as they've left the port of entry in VIC through a bottleshop of a friend of mine. The last Forward Hops drop was fantastic, the big IPAs were all awesome.
Premier Pilsner @ HiMart
How much at Dan’s?
Also available 6 pack for $5.
IMO the deal title should read 6 pack for $5.
Interestingly somebody disagree with a -1 and I now can't stop thinking why we don't multiply all the deals and say eg. "2x Pixel 7 Pro for $2000" instead of the logical and boring "Pixel 7 Pro for $1000" ;)
I'm not sure who negged you, but I wrote the $20 price point because that's what I bought and usually buy.
Perhaps you buy your beer in 6 packs more often so it makes more sense to you written that way, where my mind compares prices of slabs and that is more relevant.
For your consideration.
Save water drink beer lol.
Indeed great value, particularly at 1.4 standards a bottle and scalable into 6 packs. Even more amazing not past bb
