I was looking round for a cheaper month to month plan that still has 5g. I came across Mate mobile which had a 5g enabled mobile phone plan. You get 60gb Per month for $40. Also supports Voice over LTE and Wi-Fi calling and data banking up to 500GB. All of this is on the Telstra wholesale network. Seems like not a bad price here for a month to month plan and anyone wanting to get on Telstra. Is there anything I am missing here as I am thinking of singing up?

Ah yes it is a very small astrix hey, thanks for pointing it out and good to know if you get it before this date it stays that price.
4G/5G speed is capped at 250Mbps.
It is a postpaid mobile with no contracts. So u can leave anytime once 5G is not offered (if). Reading their website, all other plans are 5G-trialed but this $40 plan is 5G-enabled. I assume it will stay 5G once the “trial period” ends.
The asterisk on this $40 for 60GB of 5G deal is that the offer ends 31/01/2023.
I have it in writing from them that if you sign up before 31/01, it stays at $40 for you.
