Liitokala Lii-600 Test Mode Is Unreliable and Inconsistent

I got a Liitokala Lii-600 as my first charger with an lcd. I went about testing my house full of loops and laddas.

In testing mode it charges at 250 and discharges at 500. So generally takes 8 to 10 hours to test.

Tested a few and got 1200 - 1900 for the loops. Some of the low ones I tried to put into the repair mode.

What I found
* after a repair, which took several days the number was lower than the initial test
* running another test, but the numbers were vastly different again
* seems like the second and third slot were consistently high and the first and 4th slot were consistently low

specially the exact same battery tested came anywhere from 1200-1600.

I'm not sure what to expect but I thought it would be something a little bit more consistent?

Clearly the repair did not achieve anything.

Have you seen the same?

    Are you suggesting that a $20 charger off AliExpress isn't an accurate piece of measuring equipment? I don't believe it.

      Where are you getting it for $20?
      And why are you so smart? Liitokala is a popular brand on Ozb, I get that you're smarter than everyone else here but how do you find the time to grace us with your presence?

        AliExpress, as I said. You don't have to be smart to understand that a $20 piece of Chinese junk probably isn't going to be a scientifically accurate instrument. Lots of "popular" things are crap, popularity does not equal quality/reliability/accuracy.

        • Show me a link for $20, if you have time from your busy schedule

            @furyou: Can't search AliExpress yourself?

              @brendanm: I see. You clearly have no experience with this machine or the brand. All you've done is make sweeping comments about ali.

              I don't see anywhere it's listed for 20 and clearly you can't find it anywhere either after making up your stuff. Did you do a search and they threw the photo and a low price on the front and you thought that was the price for it?

              And what's to say a charger can't be $20? Go to any retail shop and you will find plenty of chargers for $20.
              What's to say measuring how much energy is into and out of a battery is such a difficult proposition?

              The brand is clearly liked/followed/used by a lot of people here. So if you have something actually useful or informative I'm sure we would all be grateful.

              Maybe some people would feel more at home on a fb moms group. They are great for complaining about crappy stuff.

              All you have told me is that I'm an idiot for buying anything from ali, I don't deserve help if I have a question of anything I've bought from ali.

              I don't know how consistent chargers are supposed to be, I don't know how consistent this one is supposed to be, and seems you don't know either.

                @furyou: Meeeeooowwww!

                Enjoy your Chinese trinket ๐Ÿ‘

        • for the purpose it is quite accurate enough, I've compared it with the opus and the reading a quite similar, as with battery you can't have a precise number anyway, even manufacturers can't give you the exact number. If it's within a few 100mah then that's good enough.

      • Lol the sass ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • If you think thatโ€™s a bit troubling, wait until you see the inside

      Thanks that is informative.

  • Anyone know where we can buy an au figure 8 plug that's compatible with the charger and won't cause the charge to explode?
