Stinger Wireless also available for $69.

This price seems pretty good for the wireless option, lowest on Camelsx3.

Also appears to be the same price + delivery at PLE HyperX Cloud Core Wireless.

My Cloud II's are falling to pieces and the ear pads are disintegrating for the 5th time, hopefully these are a reasonable replacement.

  • Does this have noise cancelling?

    • The HyperX Cloud Core features signature HyperX memory foam and soft leatherette, making it comfortable for long gaming sessions. The detachable noise-canceling microphone keeps ambient sounds out of your voice chat and can be removed when not in use. Cloud headsets are known for their legendary sound, comfort, and durability to be optimized for the way you play.

      • oh its noice cancelling for microphone only. I was asking for the actual sound

        • sellers of some other clones like to insert these buzzwords in the product titles 😅

Assume not if no keyword pops up

          so.. passive noise cancelling/attenuation
          no ANC

    • It's a budget HyperX gaming headset, I don't think it would

Unless you're talking about the mic and not ANC:

The detachable noise-cancelling microphone keeps ambient sounds from interrupting your voice chat and can be easily removed.

My Tao Tronics noise cancelling headphone earpads is picking apart so I'm looking for a replacement.

        • Get another clone! Cheap ANC decent on these - majority of the value compared to WH-1000XM*

Nice keywords and aggregate positive rating though $70 at the moment

*Lol just realised you commented on one of the other OzBargain threads searching for similar

I had one with a pungent factory plastic smell that still has not dissipated after a couple years

    Matching PLE

  • Is there noticeable lag with this wireless option?

    • +1

I'd like to know too, I couldn't find much info online…

    • +2

Used these over December while staying with family and never noticed any lag, might be worth looking at reviews on Rtings to confirm

  • Is the charge cable for this USB-C?

  • hows the tightness for this headset? anyone know? been looking for a wireless set with a mic for a while but i get migraines from tight ones too easy. my head is pretty small thankfully

    • +2

Tough to answer as it's quite subjective but… It looks similar to the Cloud II which I've been using since 2016 which I found very comfortable. I would say my head is average size but maybe I should post a picture and start a poll to find out.

      • +2

        lol head size poll
cheers for the reply mate i appreciate it!!

    • This video seems to explain it. The size for a bigger head might be more a problem.

Purchased this deal yesterday, should arrive tomorrow. Replacing my G935's, which occasionally lose connection in the left ear. You can grab mesh ear cushions for about $20 on Amazon also. That's my preference for extended wearing.

    • +1

Nice! I tried mesh cushions which came with the Cloud II and while my ears didn't get hot, I preferred the noise isolation which the pleather ones provided.

  • This any good for games where you need to listen closely to your environment eg. Warzone and other BR games? How's the sound quality listening to music?

    • +3

Dude I've got a $500 audio setup and still can't hear shit in Warzone, the audio in most BR games is atrocious

  • Looks like I’ve missed out on this deal. I’ve also used cloud II for years and now wanna go wireless.

    • +2

Yeah looks like that Amazon deal has expired for now but PLE is still running. Amazon also have the Stinger Core Wireless for the same price
HyperX Cloud Stinger Core Wireless DTS PC Headset, Black. I've never used this headset so I can't comment on it but it has a lot more reviews than the Cloud Core.

      • Spewin' that they were OOS for your original deal but the Stinger Core looks like it will be a fine replacement.
Needed a wireless headset for WFH that doesn't need additional drivers installed to work well.
        Hopefully this does the job.

        Thanks :)

        • Yeah it's just for WFH for me too. Maybe one day I'll have the time and energy to play some games, and I'll be miraculously good at them due to only buying gaming peripherals…

          Good luck with the Stinger!

      • Thanks mate, had the stingers delivered today and I'm pretty pleased with them :)

        • I'm really glad to hear! All the best.

  • Mine arrived today but doesn't even turn on or charge.

    • That doesn't sound promising. Any luck since? Mine has just been delivered but I'm not home to test it out.

      • Amazon's return policy is amazing and no fuss. I'm gonna try and get another one for the same price.

        • +1

Sorry you had the trouble, I'm fortunate enough to have received a pair that worked out of the box. I used them for music for a couple of hours last night while working and I'm happy with them in terms of comfort and lack being wireless. I'll have a few Teams calls today so that will be the true test.

@N30NF15H: Hey @N30NF15H, just an update on this. Amazon offered to refund me the difference if I purchase the same headset again and return the faulty one but I would out of pocket $130. I contacted Jb hifi and got them to price match ple and picked it up yesterday. They work really well but the earpads are very thin. I changed the earpads to these and they are so much more comfortable now - https://amzn.asia/d/j61MQdp

            • +1

@Hero: I appreciate the update as I was actually thinking about your situation while using mine - I'm glad you were able to get a working pair and for the original price.

Thanks for the info on those earpads, they're so thick! I might give them a go if these ones start falling to pieces.
