I have this vacuum and the suction is fantastic and the anti hair tangling head is great, but it's pretty heavy so keep that in mind.

    • As long as u push and don't lift its great. Used for 3 years before moving to dyson

I don’t have this one. But I love my shark. It’s actually the ducks nuts

Just picked mine up today from TGGs and gave it a spin. Does a way better job than my Dyson Absolute Outsize but it's very heavy (as PPickle said above) and not very easy to maneuver around furniture and walls. Had to stop after 10mins coz my wrists couldnt cope but on the plus side, a few months from now i'll be able to compete at arm wrestling events.

    • I have this and it is pretty heavy, partly because of suction pressing the head to the carpet surface.

Great vacuum, but I wish there was a way to lock the articulating joint so it didn't tilt on its axis. Tilting puts a lot more strain on your wrist.

  • What happened to the $50 Sharks of the past? I never knew something like Geely could one day be in the same share market as Audi.

    • they don't need to compete with the $50 Kmart cyclonic vacs as this model shark allows you remove the canister and motor when doing stairs, etc ….so unique feature …… "piranaha" vacs are cheaper than "sharks"

    Won't ship to Perth 😠

  • I've used one and it was weak compared to a Dyson (wondering if it was partly clogged given others seem to love it).

    • Which Dyson?

      • I have a couple of early cordless ones. Can't remember the models, maybe 28 and 50(something). The older one is 11 years old.

The shark had modest suction and it was terrible at picking up any fluff or hair. I cleaned the head and made sure it was rotating. It may have been that particular one on that particular carpet. It was a friends so I didn't want to pull it to bits to check for blockage. It didn't seem blocked (not the usual symptoms - extremely weak suction and loud noise).

        • Definetly not this model then. I was suprised at how much quieter this Shark is compared to my Dyson Outsize which I've had for about a year. I've got an aussie shepherd and got tired of the Dyson Outsize not being able to pick up clumps of floof on my hardwood floors and if it did, it would normally get blocked shortly after.

          • @gcar304: Yeah this is way quieter than my old DC65.

    • I have this model and replaced a full size Dyson upright with it.
It's definitely comparable, and it's better than the one I replaced but the Dyson was wearing out.

  • wish aldi brought back their bagless backpack vac …. was a dream to use, just put on the back and off you went, made doing stairs easy ….. until cord ran out ……
