Hi guys. Just to set expectations and in response to the OPs comment re waiting for profit cashback. Unfortunately there will be no higher cashback for this promo than the current 100%. In fact, there's limited stock at this rate and the cashback rate may be pulled back to $5.50 by Boost once promo stock is exhausted.

On a side note, all cashback for Boost transactions made via Cashrewards up to and including November 30, 2022 are now approved in member accounts (provided SIMs were activated within 30 days of purchase). Thanks.

    • Can you confirm that if I buy two SIM cards (separately, clicking from CR each time) that they'll both be eligible for the 100% cashback.

I can't see any terms that say one way or the other, but the Boost website says they offer is for new customers only. Am I technically a Boost customer after the first SIM card purchase?

      • +1

Yes. This is totally fine. Thanks.

        • Hi TA, getting "something went wrong" when I try to activate my $300 boost mobile sim. I have tried across 3 different browsers, 2 different phones, 3 different email addresses and two different actual addresses.

As soon as I click the $300 option at the last screen (recharge), the website just crashes and says 'something went wrong'. I can't begin to explain how frustrating it is to not be told what the actual error is.

I've used my phone on wifi, off wifi, turned off VPN + any DNS ad blockers.

          Any advice?

  • +1

Still getting the "Something went wrong…" error from last month.

    • You should try a different browser or try the incognito tab

      • +2

i tried purchasing through the CR app, still doesn't work.

        Does cashback works with Incognito?

        • I have not thought about this one

    • +2

      New thinking:
I never had this issue. As I mostly paid by a Coles Prepaid MasterCard so that every time it was a different card number (or it wouldn't be used more than twice). Hence, the billing address is not the issue as a prepaid card does not have this info. As many know that Vodafone/Kogan block the activation using the same card for over 4 times in a 30(?) day period, I would say also try using another card to pay if you already used it several times.

    • Did you try a different email address?

  • What happens if the credit runs out, does the Sim stop working or can I keep it without credit

    • +5

Keep 6 months of inbound calls and sms

      • I just know this! Thanks

  • I am still waiting to see whether they will approve my cashback, if I have activated like 3 Sims in one boost account.

    • +1

As long as you followed all the other rules in the post AND didn’t transfer credit from three sims to one number via support then you should be fine.

      • Fortunately we’re dealing with Cashrewards and Boost. If we were dealing with the Australian Government, they would just change the rules after the fact to suit themselves

      • No. They are all new activation with new phone number

        • Sounds like you were a new customer the first time, and a valued customer the second and third time

    Common FAQs

    Question Answer
    1. Is Boost operated by Telstra network? Yes, on the full Telstra network
    2. Does Boost support 5G? Yes, for all Boost prepaid customers and it is currently on trial until 30 January 2023
    3. Does Boost support e-SIM? Sadly not at this stage. However there are plans to do so
    4. Do you have to activate the SIM within 30 days? Every Cashrewards Boost cashback up to and including Nov 30 has been approved (confirmed by TA via dm), provided you activated within 30 days of order
    5. How long is the SIM expiry? Usually 1 year, but to qualify for cashback the SIM must be activated within 30 days of ordering
    6. It is showing “new customer” on Boost website. What does this mean? New customer term is only for the additional Boost data, and nothing to do with the cashback offer
    7. Can I receive international text message (aka int. roaming) with this SIM by default? Yes, you can receive SMS while overseas, but can’t send outgoing to Australia
    8. How long does it take to receive the SIM? According to the Boost Rep: Once dispatched, you should receive your order within the following business days: Metro Areas – 2-5 business days for capital cities – Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Canberra, Darwin, Hobart & Brisbane (order before 4pm). Non Metro or Regional / remote areas – 3-7 business days
    • With #6, Cashback aside, if I have boost now do I need to port out and port back in?

Apologies as this question I'm sure would have been asked a million times

      • Best option is to port out and port in
I’m yet to try it myself on the long expiry plan to hop on live chat and transfer the credit across, as my current plan will expire in 10 days

        • +1

Just renewed my long expiry plan via Boost chat. Did not port out. All they did was activated the new sim and transferred my old number

          • +1

            @BargainsGrabber: brilliant, thanks so much

          • @BargainsGrabber: And did you get any data? It says data only available for new customers.

            • +1

@mrvaluepack: The live chat agent activated the new SIM as a new service, deactivated my old service and transferred my old number across. Basically received the 260GB quota that new customers can only get

              • @BargainsGrabber: So you got 260gb with just a $15 dollar sim that supposedly only comes with 60gb? Or was that a typo?

                • +1

@mrvaluepack: No no haha, I renewed my long expiry sim with a new $300 SIM that I bought off from eBay

Lovely! Can you please add “9. Why is there no profit this time?” Thanks!

      • +1

On the 17th Jan if you can wait till then.

        • Nice! Please change my question to “9. When is there a profit this time?” Thanks again

    • +1

      2 extended till 3rd April 2023 :)

      • No, purchases in Jan should be approved in early March according to the current pattern, but subject to change in CR's discretion. Date is set for 90+ days apart, just for estimation purpose.

        • +1

I replied to # 2 from the table regarding the 5G trial end date.

        • +1

Jung is referring to the 5G trial :)

Thanks for the ping mate, I’ll update the table the next time a Boost deal is posted or having a long running forum thread ;)

Too many 100%+ Boost sim cashback deals. They have stopped letting me and my partner activate them. Guess we are classed as potential deviants now.

    • +5

how many have you been through?

      • -2

Isn’t that kind of a personal question?

        • +4

What? I'm asking how many SIM cards before boost stopped letting them activate…

    • +4

Mind sharing roughly how many before they stop users from activating?

  • +2

why not on a yearly plan ?

  • Had to put a claim last night as CB didn't track for the last sim.

    • You're not alone. Me and my partner also put in a claim yesterday as the sims we bought were not tracked. Bought on 6 Dec and already activated.

      • +1

Hi. If both you and your partner had issues, there’s likely something up with your browser, router, firewall etc. or you clicked away prior to purchase. I suggest using the Cashrewards mobile app on 4G/5G for improved results. Tips below will help. Thanks.

For tracking success, disable 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave, close additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from Cashrewards as tracking will be lost. Cashrewards must be your last click before purchase. Use our iOS/Android mobile app for great results. Use our Help Centre & Contact form here for any questions or issues.

  • Paid and got Cashrewards tracking straight away

Estimate on when the next $150 for $200 SIM starter kit will go back on sale/bonus cashback?

  • tracking from CR is fine

the trouble is actually receive the sim you ordered from BOOST

has three orders not delivered so far. two said invalid address when address is correct while one just never update tracking

  • I wish that Boost had a discount renewal for the 365 day plan. My Mum's is due next week and don't really want the hassle of changing providers

    • I’d be nervous, too, if my reputation was on the line

  • +2

you mean i don't get paid to buy this? pass

    • I used to run a business where I paid people to take stuff. I remember that day like it was yesterday

  • -1

Can you stack it as top up credit once 28 day period runs out?

  • +10

I think it's $16 on shopback at the moment

    • +3

It appears it is! Might be worth making a post for this.

  • Hi guys. As stated here, Boost is very close to selling out of its allocation of SIMs to us at this price so this cashback offer will end tonight (Friday) at 9pm AEDT and revert to $5.50 cashback. I've asked Boost if they could please try to get more stock at higher cashback on Monday, and waiting on them to come back to me - hopefully with some good news while the SIM is on discount. Until then, please have a wonderful weekend :)
