    Wow only 12 nuggets..shrinkflation lol

Yeah. Partly agree, particularly if you're after nugs.

But if you're keen on chips, and I've always found the HJ's great quality, this is okay value. You get x1 medium chips for $2 as part of their value menu, and if your yardstick for good value on nugs is x24 for $10, then x12 for $5 and x2 medium chips for $4 is alright.

I just get chips for free on shake and win every couple of days heh. Agree their chips are one of the better ones though. KFC's chips have been sad and limp way too many times

  • Bacon Deluxe small value meal $7 too.

    • Is that targeted as I can’t see this in my Hj app?

      • Should be in jacks app deals section.

        • Nah don’t have, for the whopper cheese small meal for$5

I think they used to have this bacon deluxe small meal for $6 before too

$6 did the price go up 20%?

was 5 bucks for a medium meal and redeemable more than once. Such a great deal, reminded me of the stunner specials. Now it's less for more and only usable once.

      Standard story for HJ's.

  • I had a maccas quarter pounder last week and was surprised by how small it was compared to how they used to be about 10 years ago.

    • +2

Exactly and I was surprised at how small it was 10 years ago compared to 30 years ago. I reckon now we're paying 5 times the price for half the size, effectively they're charging 10 times the price.

      • I wonder how they're doing to keep increasing there margins in future. I guess replacing with cheaper synthetic flavoured ingredients. The younger generation seem to think meat is bad for environment and humans so they will probably do that with advertising campaigns they're saving the planet with meat substitutes for maximum profits. The shrinking is completely in your head. A quarter pounder patty is a quarter pound of beef, and units of measurement have not changed in the last 30 years.

    • Confirmed that they are smaller than other countries, seems a bit cynical.

    • +1

Meat patty is still the same size - that's what the quarter pound is referring to. Bun went from 4.5inch down to 4inch when I worked there about ten years ago. At the time they reduced the price by like 10c but it's probably gone up another $3 since.

    • It hasn't changed really. Meat weighs exactly the same as 10 years ago. - 1/4 pounder.
You get slightly less bread then 10 years ago though.

      • The small bun is way smaller so I'm assuming less cheese sauce onion. I started laughing as soon as I opened the packaging. The patty stands out with a shrunken bun.

        • +1

The beef is the good part anyway.

    Did someone say KFC?

Nothing great about these. Should be standard menu items for standard price

    • Yes. Didnt get Krispy Kreme's though

    • Yep, received mine last month.

  • Well… I thought cheeseburger small meal x 2, for $6..

  • Meals are more like snacks now at times, at least for myself, and I tend to use the paper/PDF voucher offers..

  • Bring back $2 coffee ☕

    • +1

      Its still on the app

That was a medium meal for $5 only 3 months ago. That's over 20% inflation.
