If you are like me you've been using the $10-20 Elcheapo capture cards for your camera needs and just waiting for a good price on the big daddy Elgato 4k.

Cheapest ever? Not sure. But cheap enough for me to finally dive in.

If you don't need 4k then these are absolutely incredible value in fact I'd encourage anyone who has a Elgato camlink to grab one of these as a spare:

  From the admittedly little reading I've done, the newer/best "el cheapo" camlinks use an MS2130 chip:

  This one can "receive" up to 4K 30hz, and can "output" up to 1080p 60hz.

  I've got the Elgato HD 60 S+, I wish they had two HDMI inputs, that you could send to your computer!

  Might get this Cam Link 4K to plug my Canon Camera in to my computer to use as a webcam - although im currently using a GoPro and that's working just fine for me 🤔🤔 Decisions decisions!

    Depending on your model Canon it may not have clean hdmi out. So just make sure to check.

    I'd say if your application is webcam only perhaps the cheap alternatives would be a better buy to test if it fits what you want todo before commiting to the elgato purchase.

    But regardless its such a small item that it can just live in your camera bag as a once in a blue moon useful thing.
