Issues with Techfast Support - No Response since March 2022

Hi Ozbargain,

Looking for some advice on how to proceed.
I purchased a pre-build for my younger sister from Techfast early 2022 and on arrival discovered it automatically rebooted when trying to turn it off.
We went through extensive troubleshooting with Techfast between Jan - March and even after following all instructions issues persisted.
Sister last attempted to make contact March notifying all steps had been tried but received no reply.

I have just returned to Australia following 6 months overseas and discovered the issue is still persisting and she has been overcoming this issue by switching off the power at the wall.

I have already emailed Techfast support but still have not received any reply.

I am a health worker and am required to travel again shortly overseas and wish to get this sorted for my sister ASAP.

Many thanks for any advice.

UPDATE: Thank you all for advice. Techfast have kindly reached and and we have come to reasonable solution.

    Sounds like the power switch wired incorrectly on the MB header

    • As in the power switch cable has been swapped with the reset cable?
      Wouldn't that only make sense if the OP turns their PC off with the physical power button?

    i ran into something similar several months ago, ended up fixing it by completely reinstalling the system. should be the problem with bios.

    try to do a clean windows reinstall, then update bios, turn off 'fast start up', dont overclock anything. If the problem still persists, then my guess is there is some hardware failure, top of the list might be the power supply, followed by the motherboard.

    if you don't bother doing these, just contact luke as mentioned above, and send it back to them for troubleshooting.

      Sister has already attempted all these troubleshooting steps and unfortunately problem still persists. Probably need to send it back but still awaiting reply from techfast…

    Had similar issues with my system. The way they set up the hardware seems to be very inconsistent with their systems, hopefully they get back to you soon.

    Posting this until I get a satisfactory response from someone at Techfast

    I would be EXTREMELY HESITANT ordering from this company

    I bought their i5-12400F | RTX 4080 16GB PC on the first of December last year..

    It has arrived today (so took 6 weeks door to door) in non-working condition with the GPU clearly poorly installed

    Having seen previous good or mixed reviews as a longterm OZB lurker I get the sense this company may have used to be more reliable but they've let their standards slip in light of COVID +/- other factors
    Super dissapointing and I guess most relevantly, at least to me the ordeal is NOT worth the small amount of cash saved buying through Techfast when compared to another company that would surely be faster and reliable..
