eBay vs Spreet == "Paypal buyers protection" vs "It's not our business"
It has been reported as a FAKE http://www.mobicity.com.au/mobile-blog/2012/07/10/spreets-gr…
<$10 on ebay. Same same but different ;-)

was thinking of getting it but thanks to you guys, its a totally different story now!
lol, can you neg your own deal ?
Yeah this really isn't a deal considering that it's fake (check godzill's post) and that you can pretty much get the same thing from eBay
In regarding to this product, there's no such thing as REAL or FAKE. The "declaration" from Mobicity is simply preventing their competitors to undercut their rip-off price of $99.95(!!). After all I don't see Olloclip is any kind of authorised Apple accessories manufacturer nor distributor. After all they're all same kind of cheap chinese products which cost < USD1.0 to make.
I guess the point is that the deal in question attempts to sell a product by 'twisting' the name of a better known brand…and hence its a fake.
Pfft. I know a genuine Panaphonics when I see it. And look, there's Magnetbox and Sorny
though if you really want a top quality iphone lens, you should be looking at the Carnivale'..its got a durable outer casing to prevent fallapart…
"better known brand" ? i.e. Palsonic?
Theives chase after theives. One charges you $99.95
My point was, if you were to buy any non-genuine iphone products, go for the cheap one, they're identical inside-out except the printed brands. If in doubt, ask your chinese friends.
It's the optics inside that matter, not the look of the thing. Olloclip uses decent lenses, and those are expensive.
The REAL Olloclip is sold on the Apple Store

Does it actually work as claimed ?
Meritline.com had a similar item, with iPhone case and a mini-tripod, for $20 delivered.
As others have pointed out - the same item is half this price on eBay.
Not a bargain. Much like the $3 cables being offered for the 'bargain' price of $14 with the "value" being stated as being $39.
ho hum.
half that price on fleabay.
