[XB1, XSX] Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami 1 and Kiwami 2 for $4.99 Each @ Xbox

480

Lowest ever on these titles. Part of the ‘last chance’ sale at Xbox ends in a week.

Some good titles on sale. Would also recommend Resident Evil 0 at $7.48.

Edit : oh and Yakuza 6 at $5.99.

  • Did these titles receive an XSX upgrade or are they just backwards compatible and work on the XSX?

    • FPS boost I think.

    • Yakuza 6 received an FPS boost to 60fps. I think that's it.

    • All Yakuza titles run at 60fps (or can with FPS Boost) on Series X except Kiwami 2, annoyingly, which is stuck on 30fps. Need it on PC to play at 60.

I played through with games pass, probably wouldn't buy.

Paid full price for yakuza 0 back in the day, no regrets. Was after something similar to sleeping dogs, but left way more satisfied.

Zero was great, the combat was much more enjoyable than Like a Dragon

  • Thought his was 3 games for 5 bucks, and now I can't bring myself to buy any of them.

Just in case which is best?

    • +2

0 was rated 10/10 on steam - I would recommend if you enjoyed gta/sleeping dogs - don’t really need to have any prior experience with yakuza games to enjoy.

If you have games pass it’s on there too btw

      • Steam doesn’t have a 10/10 rating system though, it’s just thumbs up vs thumbs down.

        • Yeah wasn’t sure about that, it was as per the google summary when googling ‘yakuza 0’

        • If you hover over the rating on the store page, it says 97% positive for recent reviews and 95% positive for all time reviews.

    • Kiwami 1 and 2 and Zero. They are the best.

      • They are all good in their own ways, and tell a linear story from 0 - 6.

        • Yeah but if you play them in order, you will be disappointed when you get to 3 like I was. The first three have been fully remastered and are so entertaining to play. 3 was a real drop in entertainment and playability.

          • @richy_o: It's jarring but you get past it. Then when you finish 3, 4 is a relative jump in quality, and 5 again.

    • Just buy them all. You'll want them all eventually after you finish your first one.

  • I'm getting the same price for all 3 on PC with the xbox app

  • +1

Make sure to play 0 before Kiwami 1. It's basically a direct continuation of 0. Kiwami 2 can be played standalone.

  • All on game pass but good if you feel the need to own them digitally

    • +1

There's also the issue that these games are bloody ridiculous time sinks. There's every chance they'll disappear from Game Pass before you can actually get through them all. Especially if you happen to like other, non-Yakuza, games, too, which also require some of your time:P. So this is a damn good price to have them there to play at your convenience later.

  • If you want to buy any of those, could also use CashRewards, Shopback, or Qantas Frequent Flyer to collect points.

Also, if you have Microsoft reward points, you could also swap some points for reward dollars (minimum redemption is $5 though, some of the games listed here are $4.99 each, the reward dollars redeemed do have an expiry, unlike the Microsoft store gift cards purchased from stores using cash).

    • Can also get the Xbox gift cards from Shopback for an extra 10% off that stacks with the cashback.

They have changed it to 8%.
