Internet Drops out Intermittently at The Same Time Every Day. DHCP IP The Issue?

I've got a Netgear D7000 connected to TPG FTTB. Every day like clockwork at certain times, but definitely at 4:11pm, my internet drops out really intermittently before reconnecting again. I know it drops out because apart from a website loading slower at the exact time, my Xiaomi Air Purifier will make a little chime whenever it loses connection and then make the same noise when it reconnects.

I looked in the logs and it seems like something to do with DHCP IP? The timestamp says 15:11 but that's without daylight savings time taken into account.
I'm pretty tech savvy but I never got into router settings so this is out of my wheelhouse.

We need to determine if the issue is between your devices and the router, or your router and the modem. Or if the modem is where the problem is. It looks like the problem is between your devices and your router.

The first thing I would look at is to see if the router itself was disconnecting, e.g. if an interface was logging as going down or not.

The next thing you could try to tweak is to log in to your router and extend the DHCP lease times from 24hr to say 7 days. If that makes a difference then you know where the issue is.

    Good luck!

    • That last idea about extending DHCP lease times sounds interesting. I'll look into that. Thanks!

  • Is it attempting to auto update the firmware?

Some routers have a scheduled reboot setting. Check that it hasnt moved to 411pm

Also some routers dont handle config updates well and drop all connections so they start afresh.

    • i agree with this comment.
if its the same time everyday, maybe you have scheduled reboot set at that time daily on your router
