Pergola and Carport - Reviews or Recommendations

Looking to install a pergola and car port at our house.

Has anyone purchased or installed anything similar to these? Hoping to hear about the quality, if a permit was required (Melbourne) and if installation was OK or if we should look at hiring a pro.

    Reckon you will need a building permit, and subject to your property location a planning permit

    Speak to council.

    I'd be very surprised if you don't need permits for the new structures & permits for destruction of old, if they exist.

    The site coverage rule also comes into consideration so you might not be permitted both or even one of them. Have seen that happen.
