Bunnings Marketplace Anyone Used? and tips

Bough something on the 14/12/22. When I click on add to cart it tells you approximate date. Mine read 3-9/1/23. This will work good I'm on holidays during this time.
Got in contact with them yesterday. They're now saying some time between 9-18th. If no ones home it's a $50 return I'll get a SMS the afternoon before it goes on their truck to let me know.

Getting a gut feeling this was a bad idea to buy off bunnings mini pretend Ebay.

Tip If you buy Shopback discount gift cards you can't use them for bunnings market place. So don't go thinking you'll save 1.5% on a $1000 worth of gift cards for aircon/fridge or expensive item to use on marketplace.

1.5% on a $1000 worth of gift cards

Bit off topic but man it’s crazy how many people will risk saving 1.5% by tying money up like this…

Bunnings are very good … but businesses selling through Bunnings Marketplace … out of Bunnings control … you may get stuffed around

I think dad once ordered a bed from bunnings market place (as he doesn't like to save up with eBay super size cashback days)
Anyway, i think the bed was fine (but it was slightly short of our queen size mattress like by 5 cm ish, and ofcourse dad never talked about this to bunnings)

  • I've logged back into my account and checked the order.
Turns out this company isn't selling on Bunnings anymore Nor any info on google search IE Location, trading on Ebay etc
You can't just call the local store and cancel the order.
Have to wait till Monday to ring head office and then F knows from there.

Absolute joke how Bunnings manage this. Must be using old Masters CEO's to expand their profit margin running a circus like this with no helpline.

  • You don't need to be a business or have an ABN to sell on Marketplace.
How does a seller source brand new white goods without that? can't be legit.

Buy a new appliance off Bunnings Marketplace from an unregistered business turn it on for the first time and your child gets electrocuted and dies.
I'd really like to know how bunnings has thought that part out They would be part liable.

Bunnings marketplace, Woolworth's marketplace and the like are just flea markets.
Anyone can sell anything there without any regulations and consumer protections.
    I'd never touch it.
