Model: Sunbeam PM4800. Makes 4 pies in one go.

Make your own pies at home with any fillings you want!!!

I have previous version, however lost the cutter, so got a new one. The cutter itself was going to cost me $30 anyway.

Enjoy your pies… Who ate all the pies? I did!

Buy the Aldi one, way bigger pies.

    • +2

That's not necessarily an advantage when it comes to pies!

    • You sure? These are huge and deep

      • Do they take a small Chinese container of filling?

I bought one last year because of a discount, but I didn't use it at all, and now I have to sell it on the Facebook market place for $55 to clean up the place.

So before buying, you need to think clearly whether you need it or not.

Don't you come here preaching about whether you actually need the bargain!

No one buy his… Get a new one for $63 ;)

        Already sold last year.

        • Nice rip off 👍.

Anyway, I find these brilliant and use it all the time. You just don't have enough love of pies. Very unaustalian 😉

I wonder what the difference to the Kmart version is. (works a treat for me)

    • These are larger pies than the Kmart one I believe… should be better built too.

We’ve had one for a few years & it’s great.

      • Yep, much much larger. At least double. I have a Kmart one and this is much better

Really good for quiches and apple pies for dessert.

  • Great for left over brisket or roasts

    • Leftovers?!

      • Yeah a 9kg brisket is a lot sometimes

  • Pie maker? What is this lunacy, I have a woman for that.

I guess your now getting divorced.

      • I buy the ingredients, she prepares, we share 60/40. Symbiotic relationship, works well, you should try it.

Says you. These are brilliant and convenient.

My favourite recipe is the MasterChef chicken and leek pie. Short crust pastry on the bottom and filo on top.

      • +1

Do you make your own pastry top and bottom?

        • +1

No way… Convenience is what it's about. The bought short and or Filo works perfectly

          • @betheball: You got a link to the recipe? I have about 4 different ones coming up and not sure which to click

@SpainKing: Hmmmm, did a Google search and can't find it. Lucky a printed it out years ago:

              • Olive oil to brown chicken
              • Onion Finley chopped
              • 1 leek Finley chopped
              • garlic clove crushed
              • 250 ml dry white wine
              • 2 tsp Finley chopped thyme
              • 2tsp Dijon mustard
              • 2 rashers of bacon chopped
              • 2 TBS (table spoons) creme fraiche

Season chicken with oil, salt and pepper and cook in batches to brown.

              Remove chicken, set aside

Add onion, leek and garlic, cook until soft.

Stir in wine and thyme, simmer to half

Put everything in and cook until chicken is cooked.

Cool and use as pie filling in your awesome pie maker!!
