I'm in the market for a new GPU and looking at either a PNY 4080 or Gigabyte RTX4080 16GB AORUS. The Gigabyte is about $100 more but is it worth the extra $100? I know little about PNY. Can anyone offer any experience with the brand?

Do all the brands have these crappy versions, which are the cheapest product in their series for 4080/4090?
I had thought that you could buy any card and not have a problem because of the ridiculously huge coolers, but that doesn't sound like it's trueYeah I ended up going the Aorus. Just looks like a better card with higher build quality.

According to this review, the PNY 4080 seems to perform pretty well in terms of noise and temps.
4080 is the least worth it video card atm. It is super overpriced.

Do you find you don't get invited to many social events?
How much less is the non OC version from what I read somewhere the oc version is basically the same but clocked an additional 45hz
XLR8 card is relatively noisier compared to the other makes.
If you care about noise - avoid it like the plague. The Aorus Master will do considerably better. These are over-engineered coolers designed for thermally inefficient chips before NVIDIA did a last minute switcheroo from Samsung to TSMC so with an undervolt, you'll be cruising!
