Toys "R" Us - BabyLove DriWave Jumbo Nappies $22.99 ($4 off)

80

Noticed this price when I was browsing for a replacement brand to Huggies. $22.99 for 93 (crawler) nappies is way cheaper then the current Wollies sale of $30 for 90 (crawler) Huggies nappies. Plus I tried some of the free samples then sent me and found them to be better then Huggies.

Been using Huggies ever since my daughter was born up until she was around 9 months. The reason we are moving away from Huggies is… not only have they reduced their Jumbo boxes by 10% (yes i know it was originally a 10% extra promo), but also the quality has gone downhill. Just check their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/HuggiesAU) and you will see the huge amount of complaints from parents who are pissed. Even though the most recent complaints have been about the USA made nappies, we found that the original reduced batches which were not made in the USA, were also crap. Each nappy was thinner and the nappy leaked a number of times.

  • Good first post, and thanks again for alerting me to the Huggies issue. The facebook page shows theres ALOT of seriously unhappy people!

I'm taking the 2 x boxes of my Made in USA ones back today. We have a few samples of the Babylove - we just have to wait for some poop to test them all! (due late October!) :)

  • Current Aldi's promotion is the cheapest (17c/nappy)

    • I've never tried Aldi, but a friend of mine uses the Aldi, brand and told me that it does not have the elastic backing. We tried the original Babylove nappies without the elastic backing when my daughter was 2months and twice, found that the pee leaked up her back when she was sleeping. From taht experience, we have made the conscious choice to never use nappies without the elastic.

      • I used to like Aldi's and then they changed their "recipe" and the nappies seemed thinner and was less elastic from memory. I promptly went back to Huggies, but am waiting for the Babylove sample to arrive to give it a try

  • some time back 1 month ago these were sold for $27.99 and got 10$ babies r us gift card for each box purchased

  • Thanks for the heads-up on this one.

It would seem that Kimberly-Clark are doing some pretty nasty cost-cutting with their Huggies nappies. We've had our 5 month old boy wake up saturated a few times now, thanks to leakage problems with the Huggies Infant nappies we're using. After seeing the number of complaints on their Facebook page, me thinks it's time for change.

Maybe Kimberly-Clark should stop spending so much time on Facebook with useless polls and address their nappy issues.

    • They replied to all the angry customers on FB telling them to call the 1800 customer service number. I did this, and their explanation was that I must have bought a bad batch, so they were going to send me a replacement box. The replacement box arrived with exactly the same crap quality nappies as the other box.

On a side note. I was in America in march and was able to try the Huggies Pure & Natural nappies (http://www.huggies.com/en-us/products/diapers/pureandnatural) and was amazed by how good they were. I was so happy that I actually brought 4 jumbo boxes back to Australia with me. Wish Huggies would sell them here.

      • Are the Costco Huggies nappies USA made perhaps?

        • check the box, it will tell you where its made.

  • i prefer to use Snugglers now over Huggies, less expensive & works well for my kids, havent tried Babylove, will wait for their sample and test it out…thanks OP

    • Snugglers is actually made by the Kimberly-Clark Australia, which is Huggies parent company. Wonder how long until the quality of Snugglers go downhill..

  • In went into toys r us today, and the baby love infant sized nappies scanned in at 18.93 instead of $22. Better deal, we stocked up on 3 boxes!
