  • BEWARE OF THIS SELLER.

    I purchased Speck IPAD3 case and specific non finger print Spec IPAD3 screen protector. Received the case but they send a wrong screen protector. It has been agreed to return the wrong item and seller wanted to return it as a letter and refund the cost of postage for me. Seller wanted to wait till he receive the returned item before he dispatch the correct one. After so many email and proven that I have posted it to him with the pictures of the letter being at the post office he send me a OPEND box screen protector which is again with wrong product code. When contacted (Rep named Leon) he refused to accept the fact that he sent an open item and wanted me to use what has been send to me on my ipad. After so many email they stopped responding and no refund given for the postage which has incurred by me.

    I bought an specific item after reading reviews on Amazon and because I wanted it. If you want something and are willing to use whatever the vendor think you should use, go ahead with this. I pad about $24 just for the screen protector and now I have a finger print magnet. The originally ordered product suppose to be very good.

    Now I lost $24 on screen protector and about $3 on return shipping which they promised to refund.
    In my case I am very dissatisfied and referred this to ACCC. If you want to go through these problems you can go ahead with these guys.

      1. We sent a gloss instead of matte
      2. We sent her the right one next business day
      3. She received the replacement, with the wrong SKU.(iPad 2)

      Explained iPad 2 and new iPad identical, the product brand, material and size identical

      1. DAY after she received her replacement, our return was received. BENT and unusable
        (so no, we did not get her to wait)

      Only mistake made here is we used the new SKU instead of old,

        • There is no dispute of the authenticity of the Speck case I received which is great.
          Problem is about the screen protector what has been sold to me I can post a copy of invoice which shows the SKU I bought. They sent a wrong one by mistake at the first time which I treated as a human error. Problem is not that. 2nd time without any communication they send an OPEN box one with different SKU and wanted me to put it on my new Ipad. Who are you to tell me what should I put on my IPAD. I bought something which I want and you have no right to send me what you think I should put on to my Ipad. If you have told me that it was a mistake and you do not have the correct SKU item I would have happily settle for a refund and buy elsewhere.

          What the seller shows now is a modified listing, so no use of the link provided.
          I have instructed to arrange pickup of the wrong item and It was Leon’s (the rep) decision to receive it in a “envelope” and sent as a normal post. I have nothing to say whether the returned item was bent or not. Only thing I can say is I had to drive to the post office, be in the que and pay $3 out of pocket and waste time and money for somebody elses mistake and he did not honor the agreed refund. Thing is it is not even a large amount. Just $3. I would not go broke without this $3. But it shows the vendors dishonesty. He refuse to accept the fact that the pack was previously opened. Why should I make a comment like that if it was not opened? Simply these guys should learn how to respect the customer.
          My advice is stay away from ACE TRADERS and www.gadgetsboutique.com.au

          iPad 2 and new iPad have the same screen size

          Product made from identical materials of the two versions

          Anyway, enough said.

        • I have given up explaining it after your last post. But you still does not seems to understand. How do you know about the material about the product? Are you working for SPECK the manufacturer? It would be much better admitting the mistake or stupidity what ever happened than trying to convince the general public about 2 products are same. Why should the manufacture make same products and market in two different model numbers and market it? Why amazon reviews shows different rating for these products? And where is the refund of postage which you never talk about?

          Anybody can claim as the largest sale in Australia. No way to verify it.

          You still do not talk about the promised return shipping reimbursement which I had to incur because of your incompetency and you promised to pay me back.

          This proves the seller is dishonest. Readers please judge by yourself.

    I've bought these cases before off these guys. Great cases. Great online shop. Never had an issue

      There is no question about the case. It was great and probably the best case I bought in that category. Problem is the vendor who think has the right to dictate what he should sent to you irrespective of what you bought from him and dishonoring the reimbursement of returned shipping.
