Xbox Game Pass

Hello cool people.

Just a quick question.

My kids Xbox Games Pass for PC had expired so I did the 3 month Eneba thing for $13.56 Euro ($21.93 AUD)

I purposely only wanted to try 3 months and not the 36 months thing, in case I stuffed it up.

I thought we were good to go because it showed in my Microsoft account that we were good for three months time, but when my kids tried to play things it didn’t give you the option to play.

I remembered something in the post about purchasing a one month subscription too, so I purchased that too, and then we were good to go.

Now, a few weeks later I’m getting emails from Microsoft telling me that my subscription will end soon and to extend it ??

I logged in to the Microsoft account and it looks like it all converted into one month ?

Can someone please tell me where I went wrong, and what the difference is between the two different things that are required to be purchased (or if they are both even required at all)

The sun I purchased was the worldwide version that didn’t require the VPN method.

Thankyou in advance

  • Most likely your Xbox Game Pass for PC has been used to extend your existing Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription (or the new one you or your kids inadvertently converted to).

I'd give Microsoft support a call. They are usually pretty good. The above however is Microsoft's standard practice.

If just asking nicely doesn't work after two calls, you could potentially point out that what they're doing is a bit grey in terms of Australia Consumer Law. You paid for Xbox Game Pass for PC - you got Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. If your kids converted the subscription for you, it's questionable - whether being under 18 and not ponying up the dough for the initial subscription - they should be able to.

That said, Microsoft support can be surprisingly helpful with these things - no threats necessary! 😁
