Telstra $30 Prepaid Mobile Casual Plan - 300MB Data, 80 Talk Minutes, 100 Texts, 6 Months Expiry @ Telstra

1020

This plan suits a very light user or someone with a dual sim.
For $30 every 6 months you get
300MB data
80 call minutes to standard Australian numbers
100 texts (SMS/ MMS) to standard Australian numbers

Compared to the amaysim 12 months at $60 you don’t get the unlimited calls/sms but a bit of data.

If you find the $30 at half price you should be able to get 6 months at $15.

No idea why you got negged, you should be able to use that kit to get this deal for 1/2 price. So $15 for 6 months.

    • Can I stack 2 cards at the same time to get 12 months validity or it doesn't work that way..

      • Unfortunately it won’t stick. You would need to port out and then back in.

        • Thanks

My 9YO has a phone/watch (Kidsoclock) with a SIM that he can't use data on but it can be used with a GPS which uses data and he can call us in an emergency so something like this would be perfect. Also I would have thought it would be good for a GPS tracking device like the ones people put in their car/motorbike/bicycle/pets etc, as my understanding is that these devices use very little data.

  • Great plan for someone with wifi at home and a house arrest order for 6 months.

I’m using this as esim in a dual sim iphone for calls/sms where Telstra coverage is important for me.

For data, I’ll activate and pop in a physical prepaid sim from a deal here like the boost one, where I ended up profiting bc Cashback.

    • Is it easy to put it into eSim mode?

      • You can ask do via app once registered, click transfer or restore esim.

  • Am I able to buy data add ons for this prepaid plan during the 6 months?

    • You can, but not very cheap: 1 gb valid for 7 days $5 or 4gb @$20 for 28 days

  • Is this even a deal? Standard price?

  • Would anyone know/confirm if Telstra One Number can be added to this plan?

    • +1

To purchase a Telstra One Number, you’ll need:

      A Telstra ID
An eligible personal Telstra post-paid mobile plan
      An eligible device.

  • A better deal is $10 for 5 months, unlimited Telstra air, unlimited incoming calls, and a number to keep.

    • How

      • Ah prepaid duuh.

Your number expires every 6 months on Telstra so be sure to top up $10 minimum.

Telstra airs free anyways, same as the pay phone.

All you pay for is a number and incoming calls.

Your pranking me, really you don't know common sense

        • be sure to top up $10 minimum

          Thought it was min $30

          • @easternculture: $10, $30, $50, $70, $100, $200 go to Woolworths and order $10 credit problem solved it lasts 7 days but your Sims registered for $ 6 months

If we compare $70 a month home internet unlimited Vs mobile data, one makes plenty of sense because one is $400 for 6 months unlimited on a average 25/10 speed. Or $800(for one year) in that respect it becomes good value, and saying $60 is cheaper or $20 is cheaper when watching 4k content #becomes subjective.

But $70 a month for mobile data for one person that's not unlimited isn't value at all, but others would disagree because that's their opinion as it is mine, but since this's ozbargains and the mantra is to save save save at bargains others would say $70 is expensive, but if we add $240 deductible from $70 being $50 for one year on a average internet plan will #not get you far.

It's just a example on what you view as value.

If you’re concerned about $30 y’all failing at life

  • Whats the cheapest prepaid telstra sim one can buy to get the 13k market plus points? Is it boost sim?

  • But wouldn't a $90 365day plan with 60gb data + unlimited calls be of much better value (eg, catch

    • This would suit people who want/need Telstra. Also if in kids Watch/gps etc they can just get 2 packs @$15, which would be only $30 a year on Telstra network.

  • Hahaha, I thought it was 300G but its 300M. That is pretty bad. better stick to the 12 months with Catch or Coles, etc.

  • Do you just buy a standard prepaid sim and top up to go on the 6 month plan?

    • Yes, I believe so

  • So all the $30 starter pack can activate on this 6 month plan? Even if the package says 30 days?

  • Any add-on data packs that we can add to the plan after 300 mb is used?

    • 2gb for 7 days $10
      10gb valid 28 days $30
