It is not worthy to spend so much money for a camera.

It's cheap when you're not at fault and have to prove it to your insurance company.

      • But a cheaper camera achieves the same purpose

This camera system is brilliant. For years put up with viofos and upgrading each time a new model came out. In the end switched to the thinkware and the quality of the night footage was way better, app on phone, the radar module and battery backup system brilliant. Ended up fitting both cars with the thinkware and haven't regretted it.

  • How's this compared to Blackvue DR900x plus?

    • Thinkware has better video quality and Blackvue has better mobile app.

      • Wish I bought this instead of Blackvue a few days ago

Actually i went with dr900x-2ch too.
Thinkware one seems to having a hard time on downloading clips, which requiring you to get by pulling out the sd card…
Also, someone said the file size in u1000 is bigger, which eat up the storage faster.

Thats why i decided to go with blackvue.

          • @CyrusL: I went with dr750x-2ch though. The dr750x performs better during low light conditions and it also shoots 60fps instead of 30fps in the dr900x.

          • @CyrusL: I have U1000 and this is one reason I wish I went with BlackVue.
I want to backup videos to my NAS when I park in my garage but its just not possible with Thinkware.

  • Which one is best of these:
    BlackVue DR900X-2CH-32
VIOFO Dual Dash Cam (A129PlusDuo) or
    Thinkware U1000

  • If you're wanting to use the cloud functionality, go with the Blackvue.
I had the U1000 more than a year ago, it was a good dashcam but the software was utterly disappointing!
Especially when it comes with a premium price tag.

    • Thinkwares have built in speed and red light camera warning though. But yes phone app is bad for thinkware.
