  • My 3 year plan is ending in Feb… Is SurfShark still worth it?

You've been on it for 3 years, you tell us. ;P

yeah mine is ending in april. I think through my referral on this website I got an extra year perhaps. It was great to pay $10 for 3+ years of VPN, using this cashback all those years ago. I dont know if it has been worth it either. I rarely use it for the region thing (I connect to the fastest server), and no one cares about downloads anymore.

I wasnt sure if it was doing anything the whole time, except slowing torrents. The app seemed to have its issues from time to time.

I'd only ever get it again if it was $10 for another 3 years.

    • Mine also ending in Feb. Check your email, they gave me another month for free.

  • I’ve had this for maybe 10 months and it’s not bad. I find that the app you download from their website seems to download torrents faster than the app on the macOS App Store.

No real complaints especially when I also got this for 97% cash back then.

  • I have been using for some time, I don't like the idea of virtual locations, I cannot open YouTube to watch the content from India as an example.

Many of the IP addresses used in the VPN network are also flagged as suspicious, I found this when trying to pay for things in different websites.

I used nordvpn before, I was happier with it.

    • NordVPN ads make me not trust them at all

  • Purchased. After sign up was offered another 12 months at 27.xx USD as a one time deal on signup. Bought that too, hopefully gets included in the cashback offer. Has anyone else got experience with this?

  • I'm having issues getting ITVX (United Kingdom) to work through this VPN provider.

Has anyone else got that app to work?

3 year customer already, signed up again on a new email just now

experience has been good and no complaints but holy shit I have to say - cancelling the auto renew (which never gives you a choice to opt of on signup) was absolutely ridiculous

    • no option in account, have to contact 'live' (bot) chat or email
    • chat bot gives link to page with feedback - UNSKIPPABLE - even had to enter free text details
    • next page is a warning page of the benefits of keeping auto renew on (literally just says what a VPN does) and why turning it off is bad
    • final page is a confirmation page with another passive aggressive warning of the date the subscriction runs out, 2 options below - green appealing box 'keep auto renew on', greyed out dont click me box 'confirm cancel auto renew'

    fk me

    • I was just looking at the auto-renew, and wondering how to turn it off.
And I thought NordVPN was tricky, this is next level.

      • Yeah you need to do webchat from what I remember. I would sign up with revolution or wise so you don't need to deal with that.

        • It's no biggie, my card I used will be long expired once they try to renew.

    • thanks for mentioning this as i wasnt aware,
went through help section chat bot prompts and got it sorted

  • Do you guys know if this will come back at some point? I have NordVPN that is finishing end of Feb.
