Disable Google shop on Android?

I'm usually running some sponsored adds for 30 secs on my android phone, but occasionally some ads that are running might open the Google Play cause it's redirecting me to download it which becomes very irritating, when I tap the ads, while it's stil in progress some ads do this.

I disabled pop ups in chrome setting and still redirects just don't know what kind of glitch this is, if also disabled the Google Play store in settings which done absolutely nothing.

is there a way to disable it from happening can't even find any videos how to uninstall it.

What is giving you ads on your phone?

    That is the bigger concern.

    • -8

Don't have to be concerned about this as I'm purely just running some passive income, just don't like when the adds are opening other browsers and applications that's all and wanted to disable it.

        ?

      • passive income by watching the ads?

Guess Ozbargain does not have many andoid techhie users after all.

            Yourself included.

You insult us for not knowing how to assist you in your exploits that you don't know yourself?

@Guybrush57: How was that even a insult? Tell me which wording did I use that was particularly negative. Ozbargain generally a place for discussion for bargains to start off with, I just thought making a post wouldn't be a issue anyways.

You asked for help. Cauilfield asked for further clarification, to which you made the false statement:

Guess Ozbargain does not have many andoid techhie users after all.

Which is incorrect, and also alienating the very people you need for help. And since you didn't answer the question that multiple users will likely want to know, you won't likely be assisted further without answering the first.

In answer to your original question: yes, you can disable the Google Play store. No, I won't be offering how.

                • @Switchblade88: In my first statement I have mentioned why I have been having ads, and shouldn’t be any concern that if it is some sort of virus clearly. I’m been trying removing or deleting/ disabling the app which does nothing, I don’t know some are even insinuating my actions before I could further more specifically explain my situation properly judging me for doing any sort of illegal exploitation.

I only wanted a simple answer on how to remove the google play store from my device as it continues to open regardless what I have achieved

                  • @DEvok: I reread what you wrote several times to try and understand your request, and I think you are falsely attributing ad pop-up behaviour to the Google Play store.

As a few users above have tried to point out to you, this kind of behaviour is concerning and suggests your device has been compromised by malware. Google Play store will never force open and prompt you to install apps by itself.

Your best option at this point is a factory reset and reinstall of your profile etc.

                      @Shoocat:

                      when I tap the ads,

Sounds pretty standard..watching an ad for an app ..tapping launches playstore to the download page for that app..

                      • @randomusername2017: But they say "some ads that are running might open the Google store", which I interpreted as behaviour not initiated by the user.

The answer is simple then: annoyed by ad behaviour when you click? Don't click.

Don't want the Google Play store? Choose a Huawei device.

@Shoocat: I might be interpreting the op incorrectly..but it just sounds like they're trying to game the ad revenue but can't find a workaround…similar to the good old days of auto clickers and ghost mice.

@randomusername2017: Ah, I see. Makes sense when you put it like that!

I made the mistake of assuming they wanted help with anomalous phone behaviour, when they just want an exploit.

I used all of my 5 negative votes for the day in this one thread.

Any android tech heads here know how I can purchase more negative votes?

    • +7

You are asking on the wrong website, friend. OzBargain does not have many android techie users after all.

    • +1

Run ozbargain on all your devices and simultaneously at the same time drop a neg to run havoc on your most hated user

    • +2

      I've got 5 spare..but it only let me donate 1 🙏

  • make "firefox focus", or "brave" your default browser.

    • +4

Nah, the OP is an OzBargainer and therefore not enough of an Android techie to know what that is.

  • -1

    Tried upgrading to an iPhone?

What app/platform and what sort of return to view ads?

    Tried settings/apps/default apps.

Sorry I ran out of negative votes on this thread also but you deserve one too.

Disabling Google Play is still a viable option in comparison to disabling the Apple App Store!

        • I only wanted a simple answer

Does solve the Google Play problem though
OP seems more suited to the apple ecosystem anyway…many interesting conversations with Siri ahead.

          • @randomusername2017: So does the Apple ecosystem even allow such apps to thrive as he's decribing? (And clearly wants to use).

I mean obviously the OP hasn't a CLUE what he's doing, and would possibly not be able to do this on Apple ecosystem even, but is that really answering the question?

He want's to run very dodgy software, but the very thing that earns him this "passive" income (ads) he actually wants to block. He basically wants to have his cake and eat it too.

  • App eats app there

  • de google your handset, once done you can play tiddlywink all you want.
