Is there any other way to view the messages you have replied to without them being truncated?
Current work around as pointed out by Moocher in another thread with Dealfox is to hit reply and you can see the message in full.
I thought there might have been a fix for this rolling out early 2012.

    Hi dirtybird, Jason's problem was that whenever he wanted to cut-and-paste, clicking on the message (anywhere on the message) would collapse the message ('doh!). The fix that time was basically to only expand/collapse if user clicks on the header of the message.

    I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to do, but if you're simply trying to expand the previous messages, you need to click on the top part of that message (where the timestamp is).

      Ah as simple as that, clicking near the time stamp.
      Probably the only place I didnt click.

      There are now + and - symbols on the left of the messages, hopefully that makes things clearer.
