This seems decent. But want to double check with my OzBargain peeps to make sure I'm not doing anything silly.
Essentials:
Needs Numpad
Would love decent Battery life (although i can deal with a few hours)
Any thoughts

So, I need a numpad for work and battery life is important to me.
So it cancels your two suggestions out.
One of the two suggestions and a Usb num pad ?
OK so your actual requirements:
Point 2 can be worked around with a battery bank + laptop that supports USB-C charging. You will also get better more runtime with a Ryzen CPU
Good luck with the search
more just numpad. which i will edit my post. battery would be useful. but not essential. i.e. if you can drop a few hundred for the price i can deal with a worse battery life.
What's the price at other places?
more expensive from what I've seen.
I trust these guys when it comes to refurbished stuff, why not just get this instead? if you're connecting to an external monitor then this should be fine for your needs

Acer Aspire is bottom of the barrel quality, make sure you give a keyboard a good test before buying one otherwise you may smash it out of frustration with all the issed keysrokes. I wn a aer wift and it' ad.
What are you using the laptop for? Does it need to be light and portable?
These 2 are the current best deals
