Haven't tried these but seems like good value for some plant based burgers. Works out at $9.91 / kg. From the listing:

Juicy, succulent plant based burgers. They're pea based, non GMO, contain no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and pack a protein punch. If you've been looking for that plant based burger that isn't a compromise, then you've come to the right place!

  • I think price error as link is down…

Should be the normal price, these vegan not meats are just vegetables, oil and water. And more per kilo than meat. How is pea protein or soy more expensive than raising a cow, I'd eat them more if they weren't so expensive.

beyond and impossible patties are the best, but they cost $10 ($5 per patty) ish which is too expensive imo

Have you seen vegetable prices [compared to meat]?

      • +1

        Yes

    • +3

Yeah, but I think more government subsidies are used for meat than vegetables. It's not really a level playing field, plus plant based food is still very niche and most of this stuff is imported.

I saw a video on what went into developing some of these and what is required to blend the ingredients together. Lots of work and money in both.

Is plant based food really good for health than real meat? They are either taste different to meat or they have to put alternative ingredients to make it like meat. Ain't those no good for health? I am not the expert but I think it's common sense right.
Also, those people who have claimed to be a vegetarian or Vegan should stay away from a concept of consuming "Meat" if they concern about animal's life.

This comment is so "I don't really know and not going to look up, but I preach".

Vegetarian "meat" is purely marketing. As you can see from this product, it doesn't say "meat" or even meat free. The market is slowly steering away from the term as it matures. And yes plants are better for your health than meat. What they put in the patties to appeal to different tastes varies from product to product and their health value.

Slandering meat is the only way unloved vegetarians can deceive themselves into thinking they have a place in the world, that and probably only masquerading as vegetarians online, it's what this world has come to these days. Nobody has anything worthwhile to contribute so they just put everybody else down.

Aren't you guilty of your own claim here? What was the purpose of the post other than to slander?

It has nothing to do with slandering meat; rather it's about reducing the amount of harm. How is this a bad thing? It never ceases to amaze me the lengths people will go to to trivialise in an attempt to justify animal cruelty.

Thanks for the post OP - I'll have to check these out. So many options these days! :)

    • Lol I'm not even vegetarian, I just like to try new things

Thanks, I respect your comment, the world is fully of people who said one thing and do exactly the opposite! Who are talking about peace today, created wars! Who said understand hardship in living, increased tax! Everything you can see are not real.

    • Wut.

    • Lol, ok boomer

Trying to reduce harm and suffering in the world is far more worthwhile than your ridiculous post

  • Thanks OP
I'll check these out if they have them for that price..
5g of saturated fat isn't the best per pattie though, would still be healthier than any meat counterpart.

I like beyond meat and impossible burger’s but I don’t think they are actually that healthy for you and not cheap.
