What's The Best / Everyone's Flights Comparison Routine?

Hi what's the best routine to use when to compare cheapest flights i.e. for international.

Googe Flights
Skyscanner
Beatthatflight ect.

Sometimes they give different results?

I remember there was a software like program that you can download with black background and green/white text that some travel companies use as well, forgot the name and not sure if it's still revelant.

I'm looking to buy urgent flights to Toronto from Brisbane return leaving before end of the year, but they're about $4000-$5000+ due to the peak season.

Leaving before the end of the year? As in, within six days from now in the busiest time of the year?

I don't use Skyscanner/Kayak anymore due to the number of dodgy third party travel agencies listed on those sites. Maybe a cursory price check but I'll always book direct with airline, even if have to pay little more. Less headache, less chance of tickets not being confirmed straight away and getting stuck, less chance of scams and generally fewer ticket restrictions. Yet to find a travel agent provide a really significant discount on prices than going direct.

Check Delta airlines for travel to North America, their flights transit via Los Angeles which is a pain of an airport but they have decent fares. Consider a multi-city ticket which is much much cheaper than a more direct route.

  • Hi,

Thank you for contacting OzB travel. lol

There may be a few options, can you let me know what your proposed Return Date is?

Most options look like you flying from Brisbane or Coolangatta to board a Flight from Sydney to Vancouver then connect to Toronto.

  • I go straight to the Airlines Website and check from there, BECAUSE I don't want my flight screwed up by stupid 3rd party operators. The airlines themselves are problem enough.
