Seems like a great price for a decently reviewed set.

G29 on sale for roughly $100 more, sometimes even less, is a much better proposition. Only a 270 degree turning circle on this hori wheel, and I can't find anything which says it has force feedback on the product page. No clutch pedal so you can't easily add on a stick shifter.
Yes! These wheels are glorified thumbsticks.
If you are interested in a wheel, the Logitech range is the place to start.
This is not a good wheel. Do not get this especially for a price such as this. There is no force feedback, you will end up feeling underwhelmed and won't understand the hype of benefits of a decent sim set up.
At least go for a Thrustmaster T150 or Logitech G29. Even a used G27 is a better product.
A used G27 for cheap is the smart play for a first-time wheel owner.
I use a G27 with GIMX for the PS4. It works flawlessly
HORI Apex Racing Wheel - $178.60 Delivered @ EB Games eBay - with code PLUSDEC1
this wheel is HORible. Its not cross platform…. I'd stay away… one of my mates had one and it was crap
If you want the next step up from the Logitech, a Fanatec wheel and pedal set is pretty ok.
Thanks for the advice everyone, ended up picking up a G29 and shifter instead 😄
Welcome to the rabbit hole, you will be back in a month looking at fanatec and other dd wheels
maybe or maybe not..
the user might just play it a few times, realize they suck at driving with a shifter
then never to use it again.
g29 comes with paddles which they could also use though and most irl series use paddles rather than stick.
@nk7: yeah some people will still get bored even with paddles.
Hi everyone, just hijacking this thread for a related question. What wheel/pedal combo would you suggest for Beam NG? Wanna get into it after seeing some vids on Insta.
since it is windows pc game, probably any of the logitech wheels or wheels that work on pc would.work.
Just go for the logitech one
g29 for entry, if you want to spend a bit more straight away, look at the fanatec csl dd
g29 should be good for a newbie..
don't need to spend alot if they don't know if they are gonna keep using or not
some people like the idea of driving with real wheel etc..
but would get bored after a while or quickly
If you want to cheap out.
why not just get an old Logitech Driving Force GT
Although the product may state that it is compatible with:
I'd highly advise reviewing the software compatibility list on their official website if you have a specific list of games you plan on using this with.
Deadzone is non-adjustable and quite high on the pedals so it can be difficult if you plan on trail-braking or easing into the throttle on exits.
