Best Way to Buy a MacBook Pro

I think Apple's Back to School sale will be coming, is this the best time to buy a Macbook Pro 16 M1?

To combine
* 10%~15% Apple Gift card from previous deals(Ultimate/TCN giftcard deals)
* Apple Edu store
* Back to school deal
* Possible cashback

I guess MBP 16 price won't drop even with new M2 Pro release giving the inflation we see.

Any sugestion? Or shall I skip the back to school deal and wait for M2? Probably this is the question requires a crystal ball :)

  Apple on Campus or Apple Education Union rather than the regular education store, with discounted GC :)

  AOC/AEU may also have the MacBook to school free AirPods deal come January, but if not, you can always just get the laptop for cheaper than the education store and buy AirPods on the marketplace

  Do you really NEED that MacBook though? Could save a lot of cash if another MacBook suits your needs

    AOC is about $100 cheaper then edu, but without cashback. Also no back to school deal last year if my memory is correct.
    I'm a long time non-mac user, refused to pay apple tax. Until apple silicon won me over. Its for work, need good spec, at least 32g ram so doesn't have discount from jb or officeworks.

      correct, AOC does not give free airpods in back to school. However, depending on how well you spec up the macbook, the AOC discount trumps the free airpod when the macs become more pricey

  The best way is to not buy one at all unless it's a requirement (design studies/job etc.). $3-5k can be put to better use on a non-Apple laptop.

  With yesterday's Cashrewards 8% EDU cashback. + GiftCard + Tax return + TRS if possible. That's the best way so far. Finally I got my MBP.
  Seems all my wish comes true in my open post :) And I got M2 instead of M1.
