On sale is this electric scooter from Kugoo that's good value for the money if you're after something for commuting or a bit of fun. For starters it features shock absorbers in the front and rear providing suspension so it'll handle bumps and rough terrain better. Something not commonly found in electric scooters in this price range.

Other features include 8.5" pneumatic tyres, front 350W motor, 36V/10Ah battery with 30-40km range, 3 speed modes, 25km/h max speed (34km/h private property), disc/electric/foot brakes, bright front headlight, suitable for riders up to 120kg and an app that connects via Bluetooth for settings including cruise control, locking etc.

If you're after a more high end scooter with more power and better range, then the Kugoo G2 Pro is on sale too.

I want one. Hope you're doing better Clear. Merry Christmas to you and yours :)

  • Any idea if spares (especially tyres) are readily available?

  • Too late, I bought Segway t15 @$400

    • +3

Segway T15 is more suitable for kids since you're getting about 15-20km/h on flat ground, less power, no suspension and smaller 6/7.5" solid tyres.

    I googled it
    Amazon same price

  • can we modify this to make it say… 50kph?

  • What’s the fastest one I can get

What's this mob like to deal with? Anyone bought from them previously? Last Ozbargain recommendation for a scoot from Clear ended in the RideHub train wreck!

    • I have this from previous deal. No issues yet. Suspension is great for shitty footpaths. Range is very low. Delivery was fast. 25kmph can feel slow at times. It doesn't like inclines. Unfortunately found out after purchasing that council won't allow e scooters on buses, but qrail allow them

      • thanks for the info @belongsinforums

    • Ridehub's handling of that was pretty bad - nothing to do with me whatsoever. I get the feeling they didn't have enough stock and oversold. Especially considering they setup the code wrong to work with any payment method.

      • There was a lot more going on with Ride Hub than that. Bait & Switch, hard sell tactics, delaying refunds (some guys waiting weeks for a refund) They knew exactly what they were doing. They never ordered more stock from Bolzzen when plenty were available (80+ units ready to go) I spoke to Christan (owner of Bolzzen) on the phone and had a long chat explaining what was going on, he was not happy with Ride Hub as this was tarnishing Bolzzen's good name. Anyway I digress…

I think for $549 scoot the Ozbargainer in me says maybe it's worth taking a punt on. But if I was paying $1k+ for a scoot I personally will be buying from a bricks & mortar store or bigger retailer with better T&Cs even if it cost me more (hangs Ozbargain cap up in shame :( )

FYI Glad you're not involved with Ride Hub @Clear Get well soon!

Honestly I didn't pay much attention to the deal afterwards so I wasn't aware how much of a shit show it really was. I've spoken to Christian before and hooked him up with other stores. One of the nicest guys you'll ever meet so I understand his frustration.

Thanks for bringing up those T&C's about restocking. I know Kugoo are looking to expand here so I'll raise that with them.

…and still banned in most States, and even those States where they're legal there are restrictions on their use..

    • +4

We've been over this. It's legal in most states and everything legal has restrictions. For example my car can exceed 110km/h but it's not legal.

Just read this in Kugoo returns policy…….

    PURCHASE BUT NOT SHIPPED (CANCELATION)

Cancellation before shipment is subject to an 8% processing fee.
For all pre-orders/backorders, your credit/debit card will be charged immediately. There will be no delay in payment collection, regardless of when the item is expected to ship. Any and all pre-orders/backorders that are canceled prior to shipping are only eligible for a 92% refund of the total order's normal price.

To me this speaks volumes about a company in a bad way…. if you have paid your hard earned and waited weeks for Kugoo to ship your scoot and request a refund. You get shafted 8% "processing fee!"

      Yikes

    • Just a FYI this has been removed by Kugoo now. They agree it's not correct and was infact copied from their global store and not enforced in Australia. Thanks.

      • Good to know. Thanks for clearing that up Clear

  • Can't wait for electric scooter to be fully legalised in Victoria after the test run which should finish early next year I think?
