What is the most durable phone car mount that I can buy?
I've use some car mount in the past, it won't last long and keeps on breaking/the suction would not stick on the glass and keeps falling off.

Do you need to buy another case for the Quad Lock mount? Can I just put any phone without any special case/attachment and it would stick on to the mount?
You need their lock system that’s the whole point, it’s a super duper secure mount. It’s more aimed at like off roading and has special bike mounts etc so it doesn’t fly off with a bump
The other one I mentioned is quick release magnet plate
I have the quadlock, and not a fan of the new dash mount. The older one was better.
Get an otterbox, still using one which is about 10 years old, hasn't dropped once.

Unfortunately Aus weather and UVs will destroy any suction or adhesive based holders, unless the vehicle is always parked undercover.
Mechanical based holders are the best for Aussie weathers.

Air vent clips, CD player holder, steering wheel clips, cup holder arms, etc.. you need to buy a few and try it out on your own vehicle to see what works best.
True. It's too easy to forget that stuff sold in Aus isn't designed for Aus. It's designed for America and such, where even when they have our heat they have a fraction the UV.
The sun also heats up the phone way too much too if your driving into it. That's where the ones that clip onto a vent have the advantage, as it gets cooled down by the AC
IMO those have adhisive on suction mount are okay.
or those that mount on air con grill stay pretty well
what phone do you have? if iphone 12 and newer, Magsafe seems to work pretty well with an aircon grille mount. if your car has those circular vents that rotate, suggest having it 'upside down' (such that it's against its own stops in the fully open position).
place it on the mount by sliding it down from the top, as the big camera cut out of the case can impede the connection.
I have the Baseus magnetic mount, on a swivel head. Best $15 I ever spent. Ebay. Goes strong for YEARS. The case breaks sooner than the magnet wears out.
A word of warning about CARMOUNT which is heavily advertised on Facebook.
I ordered the product from the Australian website on 1st December and I'm still waiting for delivery from China. I paid extra for "expedited order processing".

My in laws really like quad lock. That mob recently had a 30% off sale maybe wait till Boxing Day to see. Still out of my price range though.
I have SCOSCHE MAGWDMB, currently $25 delivered at amazon. Quite good suction on windscreen other than really really hot days where car is in the sun for extended time.
