Have not watched a 3D movie for years, just wondering are they still using the same glasses from 10 years ago? The ones we have say "RealD 3D" on them.
Would like to avoid buying new ones if nothing has changed.

Til that people purchased their own 3d glasses rather than use the cinema ones.
Not sure if it was the same here but back in the UK you paid an extra £1.50 for 3D movies but got to keep the 3D glasses (still had to pay £1.50 extra for next movie even with your own glasses though).
For Event cinemas, it's $1 a pair, it's an addon, so optional.
At the end of the movie, you can recycle it or take it home for future use.
@browser: This is how it worked at most cinemas.
IMAX had special glasses which you would return and be reused IIRC. But yeah RealD 3D glasses could be bought and reused.
I recall with the original Avatar movie they released limited edition RealD 3D Avatar glasses that looked cooler than the standard RealD 3D glasses. They sorta looked like Arnie’s sunnies in T2, the ones he takes off the doctor when he rescues Sarah Connor.
AFAIK
Yes my old glasses worked for both Black Panther 2 and Avatar 2.
Related note.. my TV is 3D, what 3D file format would I download to view them?
flat files.
Left and right
FLAC is for audio :P
Depends on the TV.
There are a bunch of different formats, including SBS (side by side/top or bottom)
Indeed they are still RealD glasses, used them yesterday for Avatar 2.
Thanks all, it's related to Avatar 2. Not a fan of 3D but generally go for Vmax, but this time Vmax is also 3D.
I watched Avatar 2 in 3D and VMax. I felt so dizzy during the movies as my eyes had to refocus every few minutes. It’s been really tiring for my brain and even developed headache afterwards. :((
It’s a great movie though and I will have to watch it without 3D again!
That's the reason not a fan of 3D.
Do they still do 3D anymore?
TIL that 3D cinemas still exist
