    I tried to find info on this a few days ago and from what I can see the inside is textured plastic. I was unable to find anything online (mostly reviews) that stated beyond the heating element it was steel. I maybe wrong, but at this price (Full price $49 just for the kettle alone), you would expect a thin steel layer
