P&O BOGOF - 4 International Cruises from BNE, SYD, MEL Jan-Feb 2023, from $969 for 2 ($37 Person/Night)

820

4 amazing deals with per night/person prices from $28 which is unheard of at public rates, especially for decent itineraries like these.

Indonesian Explorer - 13 nights from Brisbane to Singapore - Departing 24 Jan 2023: $969 for 2 people ($37ppn) https://www.pocruises.com.au/cruises/indonesian-explorer/i30…
Indonesian Explorer - 14 nights from Singapore to Brisbane - Departing 25 Feb 2023: $1066 for 2 people ($38ppn) https://www.pocruises.com.au/cruises/indonesian-explorer/i30…
Kiwi Adventure - 13 nights from Melbourne to Melbourne - Departing 28 Jan 2023: $1066 for 2 people ($41ppn) https://www.pocruises.com.au/cruises/kiwi-adventure/x306
Discover Vanuatu - 11 nights from Sydney to Sydney - Departing 20 Feb 2023: $1017 for 2 people ($46ppn) https://www.pocruises.com.au/cruises/discover-vanuatu/v309

Pricing will not appear until steps below are complete. To get these prices, you need to:
1) Click links above/View cruise
2) Scroll down and "Select Room" - Interior
3) Select "Go"
4) Select "Not fussed" - location
5) Confirm room
Price will then appear. You can then click through Book now to pay and continue.

Pricing is for inside cabins for 2 people. Prices for 3rd person would be double above, but if you have 4 people, that would be the same cost as 3. i.e. prices for 2nd and 4th person are free. You can also upgrade to window and balcony cabins, at extra cost and still much cheaper than normal e.g. a Balcony for the first cruise is $1398, so less than half the typical price. Cruise pricing is on minimum twin share basis so no discount for 1 person.

Don't forget you need your passport for all these, as international cruises. If you don't have it already, you'd need to order a priority replacement to get it in time.

Terms do say "Limited number of cabins at this price" so price may go up before cabins sell out.

While expiry for this offer is 4 Jan next year, I'd expect them to sell out much sooner.

    • "international waters"

      • it will dock into Bali and Lombok which are Indonesian territory, unless you stayed on the ship on the day.

    Hi OP!

Getting 1k for the sydney route.

    • Same now, so I've updated the price.

I checked the price earlier so they've already sold out cheapest/bumped the price up (I'd expect Sydney to be in most demand, as it has highest cruise population, and is a return unlike the Brisbane ones).

  • Comes up as $1017.. not $721?!?!?! Do you have some USD$ currency app your using?

    • +1

Updated the price as they've obviously sold out of the cheapest ones there now.

What are the chances of getting turned away like the one at Sydney from infested by covid

    • Then perhaps fly in or out of any airport in the world instead where they bring in far more cases every day and they don't report or stop anyone.

    • +11

Guaranteed you will be exposed to COVID.

Two groups of friends that went cruising in the past month came back with COVID. The second group were fortunate to make it home before a positive RAT.

The risk being quarantined to your cabin means I'd be very reluctant to travel in a cabin without windows. At least with a balcony and food delivered you could get some fresh air.

      • +1

I don't think they confine anymore they'll just let everyone roam around these days

        • +1

Thankfully P&O still require you to quarintine.
What happens if during my cruise I have COVID-19 symptoms, test positive to COVID-19, or if I am a close contact?

Any guest reporting or exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms must notify the onboard medical centre and be reviewed by our medical staff for testing. Guests who test positive to COVID-19 will be assessed and treated either in their room, or in a designated area of the Medical Centre, and will be required to isolate for five full days from the date of their positive test result. Positive cases must continue to isolate onboard after five days if they have symptoms, until symptoms resolve.

          Some good news:

Any guest who is quarantined or medically isolated during their cruise as a result of testing positive to COVID-19, along with their close contacts, will be entitled to a Future Cruise Credit for impacted cruise days. The Future Cruise Credit will be 100% of the value of the cruise fare paid for the number of cruise days missed and will be subject to our standard terms and conditions for Future Cruise Credits.

Yep some are a bit slow at recognising the covid panic's all but over. No doubt there will still be deaths of those unvaccinated and the immune compromised.

          • +2

@philart: Well you could catch it 4 or 5 times and significantly increase your risk of stroke or heart attack. But who's counting.

              • +3

@Justsendit: Been doing your own research have you 😂

              • @Justsendit: Re:

Clot shots more dangerous than the virus

LOL, what an utterly ridiculous statement, not to mention totally irresponsible.

                  • @Justsendit: Re:

'Pfizer ceo admitted that it provides no protection …'

That's a hilarious claim. Who told you that? If you believed whoever it was, then I have a bridge I'd like to sell you.

                    • +1

@GnarlyKnuckles: He’s literally on tv saying it lol…

                      • +2

@Justsendit: Wrong again, Simple Simon. Are you really unable to understand the difference between 'provides no protection' and 'doesn't stop transmission'? This is typical of an anti-vaxxer … selectively latch on to a tiny element of the truth, then extrapolate it wildly to make ludicrous utterly false claims, then pretend those laughable claims are backed up by facts.

There is so much hard evidence (published in the medical literature, try reading that dude instead of relying on the TV), that even you should be able to locate mountains of it via Google/PubMed. I dare you to try, if you can read.

                        • @GnarlyKnuckles: It’s already proven that it doesn’t prevent transmission (if you read the article) and the ceo said that it provides little to NO protection (if you watch the video) can you tell me what it does? I got covid and it was nothing worse than a simple cold. Maybe the booster damaged your critical thinking abilities?

                          • +2

@Justsendit: You are failing to realise (or pretending to fail to realise) that the comments made by the guy in your little snippet of video pertain solely to the omicron variant. You have taken this tiny and incomplete little piece of footage, and used it in a pathetic effort to try and convince rational-thinking people that COVID vaccines have not saved millions of lives; when clearly they have. Dude, if you are genuinely interested in facts, read some published medical studies; don't use 'YouTube' in a misguided effort to appear informed or knowledgeable. Again, this is completely typical of anti-vaxxers. They are either so stupid they can't interpret information provided to them, or they pretend they can't and push some other agenda (god knows why?), or they latch onto an incomplete little piece of information (or 'sound-bite'), present it completely out of context, and pretend that it 'proves' something ludicrous. Such peeps really are a scourge on society. I pity their children the most, because they often go unvaccinated due to their parents' nut-job agenda.

          • @philart: Yep, 74 died last week in NSW, more still in Vic. Those weekly deaths add up. Heart, brain, and long covid problems affect everyone, and the more you get it the more likely you are to get the problems. https://www.heart.org/en/news/2022/03/31/after-covid-19-expe…

      • Is quarantine still a thing.
They don't even quarantine infected people on the land anymore.

        • +1

They do on cruise ships. On Grand Princess right now.

  • +5

    Its P&O ! no Thanks.

Great deals, but there is a reason they give this away. Upvote though because always nice to see a deal posted :)

    • The refurbished ships seem pretty nice

    • +1

So I have been on a few cruies, including P&O. Do I agree that P&O would be the worst of the major operators.

Would I go in this cruise if I had the leave? Hell yeah, this price is incredible!

    • +1

lol yeah once you been outside P&O you just can't go back…

it's like crazy clark quality for cruises

      • I've never been on a cruise before. Could you elaborate?

        • +4

P&O are very basic and cheapest of them all… like you get fed and standard entertainment but nothing too special and the ships are always old ones. It used to be you can freely get towels when you are swimming, now you have to use your own from the cabin and sometimes they run out because they are late on laundry. They also not so kid friendly out of the brands if you have kids.

Even if you go up one level to Princess you can see the difference. Better food, entertainment, kid friendly better programs, not too restrictive for kids in pools. But Princess demographic is more for older people.

Any way, P&O is a good starting point but once you try others you just feel like P&O is like home brand.

          • @Poor Ass: Thanks for that! I have a friend in the U.S. who's a cruise aficionado, and he reckons the cheaper cruises have roudy 'booze cruisers' – is that true here?

            • +1

@itsfree: of course… it's aimed for the poorer demographic so it would be true

not sure if they still tip out listerine bottles and replace with vodka and then add food dye to save money on booze lol

            • +1

@itsfree: not really. carnival in the usa doesn't bring the classiest people. here in Australia it is different, since most think cruises are for seniors anyways.

royal Caribbean in the usa is fantastic, but would never do a carnival usa cruise again.

          • @Poor Ass: Princess? sounds great. if only their website didn't suck so bad. what's the best way to book that?

            • @shabaka: Ozcruising or call I guess or travel agency

  • No working Its always been showing as $969 for Brisbane not $808

  • +10

    Floating RSL Clubs.

    • +1

but without the RSL drink prices.

      • +2

but without the RSL drink prices.

$10 cocktails last time I went, that's about the same as an RSL. Then we you factor in that it's only $28 for a bed and as much food as you can eat plus entertainment, it's a pretty good deal. Still an RSL at sea, but if you don't mind that then it's a great deal.

        • I think it's a great deal but it's been 10 years since I was on one of their cruisers and I don't think we got $10 cocktails.

  • New to cruises - are activities, food, entertainment, etc all included or is this just paying for the accomodation?

    • Some activities, entertainment and food are included, but you can pay extra for alcohol, specialty dining, tours and some activities. If you were tight you could spend $0 more (assuming gratuities are included), but I would plan for a couple of shore excursions.

I did hear that P&O stopped providing free water, but I haven't confirmed that.

    • Went on a Carnival cruise the other week, most food was included apart from a few premium options that you can pay for (included restaurant was really good, buffets were alright). Most activities free though also a few paid options. I believe that Carnival own P&O so probably similar.

      • Correct but each brand is targeted at different groups.

    • Yes, they do the activities for you!

  • +9

Ah free Covid with every cruise

    • +1

      At least it's free!

    • +1

      With a side of gastro…

  • +2

Question: if I am travelling alone, can I book a 2 person room cause its 1k, 1 person is 2k.

    • +1

It's $1k per person, think sale ended?

      • +1

Thanks didn't see the per person, went by this post "$1017 for 2 people" then naturally clicked the link and saw 1 person was 2k.

        • Edit: The sale is still on, you have to add to confirm everything and it state 2 x people is $1,017.00 but 1 person still showing 2k for the same room.

    • Id like to know this too

      • Maybe just book the 2 x adults and just show up alone? lol

I mean, they can't knock back someone that doesn't show right?

    • I did this once with family, then legitimately could not travel for medical reasons. They let the other sailor go without issue. They just got the room to themselves. Only difference is I had paid full fare, whereas this deal looks like person 2 pays nothing.

  • -5

    always the non school holidays

    • +5

Obviously - why are people still commenting this on travel deals?

Travel companies don’t need to discount in the school holidays because that’s when everyone wants to travel. It’s business 101.

      • because comments are like bums, everyone's got one

    • duh, thank you captain obvious.

it's always going to be expensive during school breaks and holidays because that is when the demand is highest.

when the demand is high and the supply is low, the price is will increase.
when the supply is high and the demand is low, the prices will fall.

the faster you understand this concept, the faster you will be at peace.

      • -2

        No shit Sherlock

    • +4

That's why it's good - your kids are your problem

    • Got negged for making a neutral comment. I love it, keep the negs coming makes me feel alive.

  • This is prices per person not total?

    • The total prices are the prices for the cabin/everyone.

The per person/per night prices are person as that's a common measure for cruise value.

  • Guess all sold out, it's 2K+ now

  • Yeah getting normal prices now on these must of sold out.

  • Just had a price update - they've increased from earlier in the day, but still much cheaper than normal, so have updated the above.

Have verified the prices and they're all still coming up, as updated now.

  • +12

I'm keen on getting COVID and diarrhea, I like travelling the most polluting way possible where they burn the cheapest, dirtiest fuel. I like all you can eat buffets with heaps of fat people around just gorging themselves. And I like lots of drunk sunburned people. Will this suit me?

  • +1

Get Corona at the bar, or anywhere else on the ship

  • +1

Do you need the Maxine for these cruises? Asking for a friend.

  • Correction:

The Go fares advertised in our ‘10+ Night Cruises – Special Offer!’ email, which was sent earlier today, were incorrect. The correct Go and Value fares are shown below.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

  • -1

All these people commenting about COVID are sad. You're welcome to live in your bunker if you'd like.

P&O has good entertainment but the food is bad, like hospital food bad.

    • Most of the people on here probably wearing 3 masks while they drive to work alone

      • Exactly. Or sitting in a park by themselves 100 metres from anyone and wearing a mask.

Princess vs p&o debate. Ive been on 2 cruises in the last month. One princess, one p &o. Ships decor are similar. Service on princess much better, you just have to look like you want a drink and a waiter runs over. Room stewards always close by, free room service, free icecream bar and pizza / burger bar. P&o, much better entertainment, a lot more activities during the day, musicians were a lot more up beat, (seen quite a few people sleeping infront of the musicians on princess) shows great. You Pay for room servcie and pizza bar etc. In saying that though p&o has more choice of free restaurants. People Are older in general on princess and sorry to say but god they can winge !. They expect a LOT, yet still paying next to nothing to go on a cruise. Food quality on both is very similar, choices of food slightly different. We would do either again, we base all our cruises on price alone. Jump on any ship offering great deals and cruise often. And yes doing the singapore to bris in feb.

    • If ya living in the sunshine coast that's one big retirement village like a cruise hehe

  • Syd to Syd is coming up as $2,198 for two people.

Is there a cheaper option for this cruise anymore?
