Product Information
Tramontane Hyvibe 20 THV20DCE
All the basics Lâg knows and a bit more…

The very first Smart Guitar in the world. A guitar that can amplify itself, generate its own effects, or even turn into a bluetooth speaker, all without cables, pedals or amps.

This second version of the THV Series gives all the guitarists an open road to explore all the possibilities the HyVibe system can offer. The guitar features a solid Engelmann Spruce top, well known in the guitar world for its combination of strength and elasticity that translates into a full and rich sonic range. The THV20DCE allows every kind of playing from aggressive strumming to delicate fingerpicking; its Lâg signature thin-profile neck makes the guitar even more versatile. All these specifications combined with the specially selected Ovangkol back & sides create a guitar not only visually appealing but with a wide and precise projection.

  • not the first smart guitar but certainly a good value proposition - I particularly would have liked having a looper on my acoustic. I don't feel like I can move away from Maton for acoustic guitar though.

    • There are lots of good acoustic guitars out there, don't limit yourself to just one manufacturer.

      • TBF, Maton is hardly "just one manufacturer."

        • It's quite literally one manufacturer.

      • My collection of Yamaha's would beg to differ 😉

        • +3

I have a Yamaha LL16D it is great!

          • @Dannyism: Yep, me too, I do find the pickup quite weird, but I guess that it is more for the purist

Big edit: I'm definitely not a purist

      • oh I'm sure there are. I found that the entry level Maton guitars are great value for money and they sound amazing.

Any specific model that you would recommend one to try at the music store?

        • Please link these entry level matons?

          • @Weisman: I have the srs60c (the srs60 would be the cheapest full-size). So far, none of the guitar I've played at that price point (~$1500) matched its playability and tone. Maybe I just like the sound of the QLD Maple. Heard great things about the mini matons too from professionals.

Happy to hear about other amazing guitars to try and compare…

    • I love my Maton.
I also have an Ibanez 12 string and a 'no name' Nylon Acoustic, which was my 1st guitar @ 44 years old.

  • PRICE UPDATE, DROPPED TO $1199 for TODAY ONLY

  • Any good deals on an acoustic guitar for some one that is kind of interested in learning guitar but isn't really sure its for them, and doesn't want to spend much $$? lol Also a leftie, so not sure if I should go with a right hand guitar or not (guy at local shop said probably learn on right hand guitar as its easier to get a right hand guitar rather than a left hand?)

    • The learning right handed vs left is a big debate. If comfortable yes learn right, but sometimes its just not that easy.

    • I've got a few left hand musician friends that have done both. It entirely depends on you. Have a play around and see what feels more comfortable for you. Both hands are doing pretty dextrous stuff, so there's no real reason why it needs to be one way or the other.

  • How much lag are we seeing on these beauties? We talking 20ms? Anything higher is noticeable.
