I hate that urge. I own multiple handheld consoles just to tinker and test different emulation settings on different SoCs. Got a win max 2 and spent the first week just running benchmarks.
Fsr2.0 sounds super intriguing, not sure if I should put 40 bucks just for that.
Same here, for some reason I could never enjoy open world games even the best rated ones such as Witcher 3, RDR2,GTA V, Skyrim, Cyberpunk. But I still keep buying them (along with the latest GPU) just to check out what they look like maxed out.
Nowadays I just buy the game when it’s on sale, install it, straight to NexusMods and download game save, check out different locations in the game with maximum graphics settings under 4K resolution with ray tracing turned on (if available) and then uninstall the game.
Plays great at nitro 5 3060 6gb
It plays find in medium settings.
LOL it was just meant to be a joke post (note the emoticon), yet so many people are so touchy and sensitive.
At what resolution?
@Ozdesi2020: Does that say 720p?
@Ulysses31: Output resolution 19201080
Render resolution 1280720@Ozdesi2020: Render resolution is the real specs here. 720p. And to think, that other user got smashed for suggesting it
@Ulysses31: Like I've said even if I was right about 720p resolution, I was only joking, but so many people here are so sensitive about their precious 3060 GPUs haha.
@Ulysses31: Yeah. I didn't feel like the resolution was bad playing the game though
Have a look at the later replies. It is 720p
Thank you sir. Will put this to god use.
Thanks
Been eyeing it off for a while. Good enough to pull the trigger methinksthanks op, been waiting. hoping for a good deal on spiderman next
Don't forget to get your cashback from Cashrewards and to activate the account specific 2% coupon from clicking through the holiday rewards on the website.
Great price! It's the cheapest price so far from an official reseller. Few cheaper options from grey market sellers are available via GG Deals. YMMV with grey keys, buy at your own risk.
Mods available?
Or $44 les 25% with Epics Games Voucher, making it $33.72
…but Epic launcher/system
What's wrong with it? Why do people care so much about irrelevant things like launcher?
its not just that, steam is a whole eco system, friends, chat , interface, forums , mods
epic is not 1/10 of what steam has to offer@botchie: Meh, when I play games, the only thing I care about is…well, the game itself.
This is a single player game so online features are irrelevant. And if I really wanted to chat to someone, all my gaming friends are on Discord so I can just use that.
To base a purchase decision not on price but on a launcher just seems so bizarre to me, it's not like you're switching to a completely different platform like Android to iOS, PlayStation to Xbox etc… To each their own I guess.
@xers: Steam got me off decades of piracy. It ticks every box for me. Every I want, all in one place.
I see zero attraction in all the other sub par systems I’d have to install to save a few bucks at times. To each, their own.
I use Epic but it's a matter of only a few dollars extra I'd prefer steam, mostly for how easy it is to use certain features. Mainly controller and mods
It's not just the shitty launcher, there are other reasons to not but from there as well.
Tim Sweeny is scum.
EPICs refund policy is dodgy AF.
Their accounts have a tenancy to get hacked quite abit.
And there's also the fact you are supporting EPICs predatory exclusivity practices - they offer big money to developers to make their games epic game store exclusives which stifles competition, pricing and customer choice.Steam's launcher is objectively better than Epic in every way. Whilst I realise we are on OzBargain, doesn't mean that everything needs to be the lowest possible price with no other considerations what-so-ever.
Epic is bleeding money, at some point they might decide to pull the plug on the store and what happens to any game you purchased? Steam has publicly stated that they have measures in place to ensure continued access to the library for the unlikely event they shut down.
Mod support is huge for many games, Steam has it better implemented than Epic hands-down. Epic depended on the Steam mod shop to function, maybe changed now but I still see the games I play recommend Steam if you want mod support at all.
Controller support for games is better through Steam, they have huge library of community driven controller maps for games with more complex layouts. Hell there are even Epic-exclusive games that have told people to run the game through the Steam launcher to get around issues.
Steam's built-in streaming is pretty great too, means I can play at my desktop or living room TV without needing 2 PCs. Can also stream remotely to things like my iPad, although this is a bit more limited.
Love to hear how all this is "irrelevant".
Yeah as stupid as it sounds i like the Steam Eco system, time played, achievements friends etc. Id rather pay the extra 5 for that. NOT OZBARGAIN OF ME!!!!
mmmmm wouldn't mind trying this out on my steam deck………
Although I don't like the Epic Game Store, you can get this for $33.72 at the moment.
$44.97 and then automatic 25% discount when added to cart, bringing it to $33.72:
https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/god-of-warYep. Bought through Epic instead. We gon' save that money!
Is the benefit of this price premium over ps4 just for those who dont have one and better graphics?
$39?? I thought this was a great deal on Ragnarok for a moment…!
I prefer my pc but I'll buy it on ps5 given its $8 :/
In fairness, the PS version is 4 and a half years old. PC version has been out less than a year.
And if you've got a PS5 then it's included in the PS+ collection so you don't need to buy it at all if you have a PS+ subscription!
Slightly cheaper on Epic ($33.72) but I'd pay more for steam client. Epic really sucks in its current state, downloads are shockingly slow and it feels like a janky beta build client in general with heaps of bugs.
Tempted just to test the FSR, I find myself more excited to boot the game and test out the settings than actually play it.
If the game has a benchmark tool then I'm in heaven.
