Help Me Pick a Pair of Headphones/Earbuds

Hi everyone,

I would purchase my first and good pair of headphones. I was thinking over ears are good for airplanes and walks/workshop. Earbuds is also good while I'm working on the road need to use both hands.

I am not super snobby but prefer to have a good bass and noice cancelling. Or what they say ANC? I saw there's already a couple of bargain happening with Bose QC 45, Sony WH-1000XM4 and Sony WF-1000XM4. Before the bargain it was around $499 but its slightly cheaper. Which one do you guys own and how do you feel with them?

    I think inears would be better. Xm4 is ok but I would consider the Samsung Buds2 pro. They have been on sale for 169 recently.

    Over ears are not very comfortable when it's hot, especially if you're using it outdoors in summer or when exercising. Like wearing ear warmers in summer.

    I have some Samsung buds with ANC, though the ANC is not that great. I can still hear people on buses behind me talking loudly.

    Got the WF-XM4 recently from Sony eBay, box damaged for $200 and it's been awesome, if you're not a fan of the foam tips like me silicon ones can be had for a few $.

    As others have said the over the head isn't great when warm/hot. For walks/exercises I've been using Sony NW-WS623 for a few years, waterproof, never comes off, onboard 4GB which I chuck a few audiobooks on and can leave the phone at home.

    Try them in store first to see which fits better. I have heard that Bose QC45 is a better fit than Sony WH-1000XM5 for a lot of people.
