Your firstborn and a clown.
Does a kilo of clown fritz count?
See no one cares about the firstborn.
Honest answer is it would depend on the game and your willingness to tweak graphics settings. Anything of the level of a 2080, 3060 Ti, and the likely 4060 or higher would do the trick from NVIDIA for most use cases, with DLSS and FSR 2 doing their best work at 4K, and DLSS 3 being an option in the 40 series. The 8GB on the first two would be pushing it a little for raytracing or high-end textures, but there's tech coming into games to help alleviate VRAM requirements to an extent.
Meme answer is a bit of haggling over one of your kidneys, maybe a usable portion of your liver, so cut down on taking advantage of the alcohol cashbacks.
"Gigabyte refurbished monitor offers you the best value for money. On top each unit are tested before shipping out to us however please allow up to 3 dark or bright pixels."
Heh, no thanks jw.
For $750 I wouldn’t allow 1
and no a bright pixel
on the page:
Gigabyte refurbished monitor offers you the best value for money. On top each unit are tested before shipping out to us however please allow up to 3 dark or bright pixels. Beside the pixels, this particular monitor comes with 36 months Warranty.
***Monitor may not come with all of the accessories/cables.Im not really sure I'd want to take that gamble, espeically given the Dell 32 4k new is available for $100 more.

I'd have to agree even though I bought a refurb M32U from these guys.
Did you get dead / stuck pixels?
Not a single one. Pretty sure it's just something they say on every refurb listing to cover their ass but I wouldn't risk it again.
I've actually made a post about a similar Gigabyte monitor but it got moved. You can use CFSHIP50 for half price delivery.
That is a very valid point, which is why I decided to call them before purchasing. Apparently it's just a blanket protection they use for all refurbs, apparently it will definitely come with a cable to use the display and very unlikely there will be any pixel issues. But if there's more than 3, you can claim under warranty.
"please allow"
please get f'd
Genuinely bad value in the current market when the Dell deals exist and 4k144Hz starts at around $550-$650 new in sales. Other retailers are getting the hint, let's not indulge this kind of price setting, especially with these warranty conditions.
"and 4k144Hz starts at around $550-$650 new in sales"
That would be for 27" and under. You should never buy a 4K display at that size unless it's a drawing tablet.
You should never make sweeping statements until you understand what contrast modulation is and when it seeks to be an issue for a given monitor panel.
What's more, I - and others - have highlighted the superior Dell alternative, and the warranty issues. I also just highlighted an argument for new 32" 4K 144Hz monitors to start deals at $700-$750.
Remove the neg and stop with the crappy strawman argument.
Congrats on appealing harder to the lowest common denominator instead of learning one basic industry term or even reading about the nature of angular resolution and viewing distance in practical terms. Outstanding work.
Special mention to the support cast of 4 to hoop and holler as you provide no real value to the public conversation.
Specifically which Dell deals are you referring to? Thanks!
Is this like substaaaaantially better than this one?
@snoopydoop: It's notably better tuned when using at 120Hz, which matters if you play console, but yes it is still better at 144Hz.
I wouldn't be getting 32" 4K myself though, nor should you: https://www.techspot.com/article/1113-4k-monitor-see-differe…
At this distance (24 inches, or 60 cm), the need for 4K is very apparent. If you have average vision (which as we stated earlier is actually around 20/15 for a healthy adult), you would ideally want a 4K monitor at anything above a 14" screen size. This means that from a 14" laptop on up, the average healthy adult would ideally want to have a 4K screen. At the same time, unless you have 20/10 vision there should be no need for anything above a 4K screen on a laptop - so at least in terms of resolution a 4K screen is likely all laptops will ever need.
There are so many options out there better than this, even brand new for a better price.
34" 2K refurb is also a good price $395: https://www.jw.com.au/rfb-gigabyte-g34wqc-a-34-wqhd-va-144hz…
I have a Lenovo Legion 5 Pro from last year full specs and a 3070 graphics card. Can I use this monitor to game with the mentioned laptop modek?
here's a link that'll show you 4k performance for games - https://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-RTX-3070-Mobile…
Cheers!
Refurbished.
A neg because it's a refurb? Not a great justification, that's why it's down from $999 brand new.
Plus, their feedback for refurbs is great: https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/jw-computers
A neg because it's within a price range of what you should now expect for new sales of this form factor, resolution and refresh rate. If you understand the average person's visual acuity is better than 20/20, you'll also realise it mostly appeals to those who sit well beyond 60cms from their monitor, assuming the goal is the 'retina' standard.
The dead pixel warranty is crappy for this price too. Please don't take this personally: it's very much a reflection on how JW Computers - and by extension Gigabyte - is pricing this. The 28" model originally started here at about $700, last year, including a deal for below $600, I think.
All he said was 'refurbished.'
You might define a deal differently then for this 'form factor, resolution and refresh rate'. We could expect a better price for a monitor of said specs, but we're not seeing much of that on the market, hence this constitutes a deal for many. Obviously a little gamble re pixels, but given my phone conversation with the company and the excellent reviews, personally I'll take that risk.
And as many would agree, 28" isn't great for 4k.
I like that Dell deal, it just expired unfortunately.
@Aidan9800: Trust me when I say that $600 is the new norm for basic 27/28 inch 4K 144Hz stock. If you're sitting at normal monitor distances that's your better choice, and there are much better deals on their way as retailers slowly release themselves of old stock.
@ChillBro: Oh nice one, I checked recently so it must've been just before.
Thanks, and how much it would cost for a graphics card supporting 4K 144Hz 1ms?
